Great entry level PME job with clear career track advancement. Very process oriented and organized as a company. Ample job reviews to maintain the feeling of advancement.

Cons

Can be political, but arn't all companies? Pay is below average unless you go work for a competitor then come back and negotiate.

Cypress still pays out annual merit based (ranking) stock compensation and pay raises.

Bureaucracy is high , a lot of over head in PM system and managing executive board room communications.

Good place for junior engineers to become proficient in a variety of engineering skills. Coworkers are bright / skilled.

Cons

Management has a general disdain for the engineering ranks. Questionable pay practices. The mandatory bonus program holds 10% of your base pay hostage until the end of each quarter. Cypress only has to pay back 20% of the pay-in, So the 'bonus' program sometimes turns into a quarterly pay cut. Check every paycheck. Mistakes are made regularly.

Cypress felt like a family. The pay was competitive and your advancement in the company was up to the individual. Management was excellent and always willing to help the employees. The shifts were perfect for anyone willing to work the twelve hours.

The mass layoff that occurred happened instantly. Upper management sometimes gave information that wasnt clear. All in all Cypress was a pretty laid back company. Not too many cons.

Immense learning opportunities, ideal for a fresher. Decent pay and stock options too. Flexible work timings.

Intense work culture, can be very hectic and disorganized at times. No concept of work life balance.
