I worked at D.R. Horton full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Plan out a community and get to meet great home buyers.

    Cons

They reduced pay, work very long hours, upper management don't know what they are doing and it is all about looks. Once you sell a lot they will fire you to keep your commission.

    Advice to Management

Take training and a day in the Sales Consultant position. Don't be liars. Corporate management, stop letting your regional managers ruin the company and company name.

I have been working at D.R. Horton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A lot of houses to sell. That is about it.

    Cons

A lot of inferior people in management to put up with. No one knows what they are doing. They hire inexperienced management and administrative employees. Everyone that was good at their job has left or been fired. DRH has no loyalty to anyone.

    Advice to Management

Senior management needs to look and see what was working compared to what is NOT working. Mid level management lacks education. Watch what is happening behind your back. Pay attention.
