Great company to work for!
Oct 25, 2021 - Link Builder in Orlando, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-Awesome benefits -Compassionate teams -True, people-first mentality -Flexible schedule -Lots of holidays
Cons
-No physical office location for d50 South (def. not a con for me!) -Very competitive field to be in

Pros
They pay well and the benefits are good. Most of the staff is very nice and helpful. Free ice cream or pizza sometimes. Summer hours (sort of). Casual dress code.
Cons
The CEO is immature and unprofessional. He ignored staff concerns or even made fun of them. There was no onboarding process, so job responsibilities could be confusing at first. If you're looking for a workplace where upper management is supportive or forward-thinking, look elsewhere. They have random layoffs out of nowhere so there's no real job security. It's a very stressful and strangely secretive culture.

A great company with awesome benefits and solid leadership.
Aug 19, 2021 - Director of Digital Operations in Orlando, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It's great to work with people who are passionate about what they do. One of the best things about d50 is that it is a very generous company with awesome benefits and solid leadership. Decisions are made carefully and wisely and everyone is given a fair shake.
Cons
Not publicly as active and visible as many would prefer because we are always focused on working on our clients. It would be great to spend more time internally on our own mission/vision to ensure that we stay on course.

Great Entry Level Position
Jan 9, 2021 - Social Media Specialist in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
This type of company is a great company for someone that is passionate about the legal industry, just starting out in the marketing world, and is looking to get their feet wet. Since this is a very unique structured agency, you'll definitely get a lot more hands-on experience touching different projects, working with different departments, and really getting a chance to learn more about what you want. This role specifically will teach you how to manage multiple projects, coordinate with other departments, understand how to analyze data and use that data to make strategic decisions, teach you how to work with clients professionally, understand how to properly build out and monitor paid campaigns in FB Ad's Manager, and allows you to tap into your creative side. When I worked here, I was brought on to help grow the client's accounts organically. Allan (the Paid Social Media Specialist) who I worked very closely with, taught me key social media skills that allowed me to advance my career beyond organic strategies. Allan is someone that will go out of his way to make sure that you are always set up for success in order to deliver results and learn new skills that will help you continuously grow in your career. He will always have your back no matter what which makes him a great teammate to work closely with. If it wasn't for him, I would've only been organically focused with no understanding of paid social. But understanding that paid side, allowed me to be successful at the agency and set me up for success in the role I currently hold today at a different company. The benefits you receive at this company is also a HUGE plus!
Cons
D50 is owned by the clients they work closely with which makes it very hard to change old school ways. Since the new Director of Social was brought on, the clients seem to listen more in regards to new strategies and approaches, but still hold onto their strong beliefs in certain areas of the business which makes it very hard to grow a brand in today's world. Also, there is no room for growth at this company, making it very hard to advance your career. Most people don't want to stay in the same role for years, and that is something I didn't like.

Pros
Co-workers & Management are amazing. Everyone is honest, respectful, and very helpful to one another. The company values its employees and takes good care of them. The workload is acceptable and they will not overload you. They value work-life balance and are very understanding. Generous paid holidays, PTO, & bonuses. The insurance benefits are great including the 401K option and to have the ability to work remotely.
Cons
Absolutely nothing!!! My list of great companies to work for is small - luckily D50 Media has made that list.

Pros
Great camaraderie, team is fun to work with. It's very easy to learn something new. Ideas are always welcomed. Great benefits.
Cons
Started working at D50 Media in August 2021. Really enjoyed my time learning from other team members, learning new tools, etc. However, in October, things took a turn when the department hired a new leader. They are very particular about their processes to a fault - which results in Social running consistently behind in campaigns. Additionally, the work/life balance is slim. I requested to take a half day for a wedding, which I was instructed not to go. Sadly, this was not the only case of missing important personal life events. Working here caused me to spiral into a deep depression, so I left after six months. When I put in my two week notice, I was given the boot after two days. Not a great send off.

Great team work environment!
Oct 18, 2021 - SEO Associate in Orlando, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Consistent work hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30pm to 4:30pm. Several paid holidays and generous PTO. Remote work, with no requirements of in-office activities for the foreseeable future. Extremely pleasant direct management. Lots of feedback and constructive criticism, while providing ample support to improve and to work with your team. Family oriented work culture. They understand that your personal life matters, and are very understanding of extenuating circumstances. Very good health benefits. A lot of room for growth within the company, as the company has repeatedly hired additional employees and typically promotes internally when appropriate.
Cons
If you are not a fan of remote work, or if you get off track easily, this is not the job for you. At least for the Florida team. There are currently no plans of coming back to work in office, and you will be responsible for keeping yourself on track.

Unique and rewarding work experience with great benefits
Aug 12, 2021 - Social Media Manager in Chestnut Hill, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-Client work is both interesting and rewarding -Professional, yet relaxed office atmosphere -Co-workers are friendly and fun, good comradery -Generous bonuses and great benefits -Curiosity and new ideas are highly valued -Flexibility when it comes to balancing work/life schedules -Good career stability
Cons
-Several years ago, during certain growth phases of the agency, there were several rounds of layoffs, which left employees feeling uneasy. -Not a con per se, but because d50 is a smaller agency, employees in certain roles often wear many hats.
