Fun place to work with good growth potential.

    Pros

Good work/life balance. Family-friendly. Lots of smart, talented people who are respectful of co-workers. Management makes an effort to keep employees happy. Communication across the agency is good. Recognizes and appreciates staff members. Great opportunities for community service on company time. Good location in a nice building.

    Cons

Open office environment makes it challenging to work efficiently and without distractions. Moving to a high-traffic location in Chestnut Hill that will increase commuting time for most current employees.

    Pros

d50 Media is a great place to get your start in the marketing / agency world. The people at d50 are truly expert in what they do, and the learning opportunity is extremely valuable. I was able to collaborate with all the channels to learn best practices, new technologies, and apply them to my discipline. The work environment is casual and laid back, and it's not uncommon to crack an afternoon beer and fire up the popcorn machine. Solid work / life balance. Great location off Rt. 9 in Chestnut Hill with plenty of food and entertainment in walking distance.

    Cons

d50 has changed direction a number of times over the last 4 years, which asks the question of what the agency is looking to focus and specialize in. d50's biggest client is Sokolove Law and their expertise is providing direct response marketing services for that client. d50 has tried to grow out of their legal marketing services bubble a number of times, but those clients have come and gone which always leaves Sokolove as the key revenue generator for the agency. Unfortunately, this has resulted in a number of layoffs and a significant downsizing of the agency over the years. I started at d50 with close to 50 employees, and I believe they are down in the low 20s today. One can argue that downsize has allowed the agency to focus their talent and hone their specialty.

    Not Productive

    Pros

Great camaraderie, team is fun to work with. It's very easy to learn something new. Ideas are always welcomed. Great benefits.

    Cons

Started working at D50 Media in August 2021. Really enjoyed my time learning from other team members, learning new tools, etc. However, in October, things took a turn when the department hired a new leader. They are very particular about their processes to a fault - which results in Social running consistently behind in campaigns. Additionally, the work/life balance is slim. I requested to take a half day for a wedding, which I was instructed not to go. Sadly, this was not the only case of missing important personal life events. Working here caused me to spiral into a deep depression, so I left after six months. When I put in my two week notice, I was given the boot after two days. Not a great send off.
