I worked at DACCO full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy to get hired, but I wouldn't recommend it.

    Cons

The work environment was not supportive, management doesn't fight for the employees and the program used for working with clients is very punitive. That's not what I was taught as a therapist and not how I want my clients to feel when working with them. Good luck if you consider employment with Dacco.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time involved with your employees and advocate more for what's right, rather than what's comfortable for you. A lot of your structure of programs is unethical. Good luck

I worked at DACCO full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Most management is understanding when life happens

    Cons

High case loads lead to faster than normal burnout

    Advice to Management

Be more pro-active with filling open (or soon to be open) positions. Delay puts unnecessary burden to employees as they are tasked with taking on double case loads

I worked at DACCO full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Valuable work experience
    Great management within department
    Flexible schedule

    Cons

    Needs more extensive training
    Better pay

    Advice to Management

More streamlined training would be helpful for incoming employees I loved working at DACCO but felt that they could benefit from more extensive training opportunities and better pay for the amount of work. It is an excellent position to gain valuable experience especially right out of college.
