I worked at DAL Global Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are many opportunities for advancement. The job is fast-paced with enough down-time to not feel strained. Benefits can be good to great depending on the person.

    Cons

Poor hours: either too early (3:30 am start) or too late (often 1:00 am finish) depending on shift. Weather is a huge factor for this outdoor job, depending on your location (Wisconsin location saw both -10 temperatures in the winter and 90 in the summer). Pay is probably lower than it should be.

I have been working at DAL Global Services part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flight benefits are okay. Since the company was recently bought by another company traveling with other airlines is no longer an option. You're very low on the standby priority list so traveling with the benefits can be a headache.

    Cons

Low pay, unreliable hours, poor leadership, no consistency with job tasks, no promotions.

    Advice to Management

My advice to be a successful company is to support your employees. Supporting your employees from an ethical standpoint will greatly reduce the amount of turnover for the company, which ultimately is wasting the companies time and resources. There needs to be more formal channels of communication that build the trust of employees and leave favoritism out of managerial decisions. The low pay could be tolerable if we had a strong leader that wanted to practice DGS core value of treating others with respect. I would not recommend this job solely for the organizational culture that is displayed at this location.
