    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

    - the experience is great
    - there are opportunities to work on different projects

    Cons

    - there is little promotion potential
    - working with the public

    Advice to Management

try and promote parity among your employees. i think managers try to be your friend and not your manager. sometimes you need some rules.

    Pros

The office is well structured and organized to efficiently accomplish its goals. It is a great place to grow your career in urban planning because of the immense amount of development occurring in the municipality.

    Cons

There are not many opportunities for promotion within the organization because of the horizontal organizational structure. The office is currently undergoing a transition so a long-term outlook is questionable.

    Pros

Pretty innovative approach to issues (for a gov agency)

    Cons

Office is very quiet (at least where I sat), which can make it seem unfriendly, especially when you're new.

Management seemed to consistently underestimate the amount of work I was capable of doing
