I worked at DCH Paramus Honda full-time

    Pros

amazing work environment. no back stabbing, everyone is just there to help eachother out. ive never seen a sales environment like the one they have here.

    Cons

pay plan is based on selling unit and not gross, not paid on incentives. You can make good money if you are a high volume sales guy but not if you are just out to get your gross and call it a day.

    Advice to Management

i personally couldnt be happier with the management. They are a great bunch of guys, even the GM is very personable. They have a strong business plan and dont mind paying for advertising which is huge in automotive sales.

I have been working at DCH Paramus Honda full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits
    Clean Building
    Air Conditioning
    Family/Work Understanding
    Decent compensation
    Great schedule
    Close to everything

    Cons

Does not like to invest in maintaining current equipment
Does not like to invest in purchasing new equipment due to lack of maintenance.
Inconsistent treatment of technicians - favoritism.
Overworks their loyal/best employees due to lack of training of their mediocre/lowest skill employees
No accountability on the individual level. One mistake is everyone's mistake. You're accountable for someone else's lack of motivation/training/caring.
Bonus compensation removed at managers discretion without memorandum or employee input. Therefore income earned can be affected depending on how they feel.

    Advice to Management

Do the hard/rewarding technique and train your lower skilled employees to become better. Hold them accountable for every mistake that way something can be learned and it takes the blame from other parties not involved. Do not remove bonus income from employees that signed a contract explaining a certain compensation method. This can be a legal issue and a department of labor issue.
