    I have been working at DCI-Artform full-time

    Pros

    Great clients and interesting projects.

    Cons

Company is driven by profit and margins. Even after a good year with modest growth, merit increases were cut to 2% and several employees were laid off.

    Advice to Management

Recognize employee insecurities and deal with them directly.

    I worked at DCI-Artform full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There were honestly none that I could think of

    Cons

Disorganized management that operated on the good old boy system. Managers lead through fear. Failed to explain the company was in the process of being bought out when making a job offer.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be better structure to ensure that your employees don't leave.

    Pros

Can't think of any off hand

    Cons

Management is being systematically replaced with employees from other, failed Marmon companies, can you say boys club?. All the talent has either left, or has been canned and either not replaced or replaced with low talent newbies. If you are a mediocre employee who cares little about where your career goes, give it a shot. If you are a talented and motivated person, keep looking.

    Advice to Management

why bother, they know what's wrong, they also know that if they bring their buddies in they can CYA right into retirement.

    Pros

Hard to find anything positive with the company since it was purchased by Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway.

    Cons

The new ownership has dissected a company that once was an industry powerhouse and made it into an industry footnote. The employees have become so disenchanted it is hard to believe that anyone continues to want to work there.

    Advice to Management

Own up to what you are doing and tell the truth.

    I worked at DCI-Artform full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some really great people work at this company, they have some awesome clients and do really interesting, meaningful work. Decent benefits, but overall they are comparable to most other companies. They offer a lot of PTO. They try to claim they promote a healthy work/life balance, but you don't ever actually get time off....the expectation is to be on call 24/7. Even when you take a scheduled day off or vacation out of the state/country, you end up having to work via email, phone, etc. etc. This has gotten progressively worse with the new segmented systems now there are small teams with no backup options.

    Cons

Prior to being bought out, this review would have been mostly positive; however since being bought out, a lot of the experienced/seasoned employees have left willingly or been laid off. This company is not in a good position right now as they are going through a very difficult transition. Upper management offers absolutely ZERO support, goals, or clear vision for the future. A culture that for years was happy, open, and friendly is now hostile, cut throat, and tense. There is little to no communication provided to employees about how the company is performing on a larger scale. Management has encouraged no communication between staff in other business segments within the company. There are no longer rewards or incentives to push employees further, or to thank them for their hard work and dedication.

    Advice to Management

Stop driving away good employees, because clients and customers ARE taking notice. Take a management class. Brush up on business ethics. Get back to the basics... Stop lying to your employees and clients. Focus on being positive leaders and strong role models for the rest of the company, instead of focusing on your own personal agendas and hiring your buddies for the "boys club". Aspire to be members of management that are highly regarded and respected. Present a clear vision as well as long and short term goals and keep open communication. Encourage employee feedback, and actually learn from it and use it to improve upon policies and procedures. Treat vendors and employees with the same respect you demand from them. Consider and evaluate your "value-add" to the company as a member of management.

I have been working at DCI-Artform full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love the work I do here. As a creative, the work is interesting and intense. Keeps me innovating and pushing my boundaries. The teams are small which allows for good accountability and opportunity to learn new things and grow.

This is a company that is modernizing it's structure to be forward thinking about how great ideas come to life. The culture is one of family where people really care about each other and want each other to have full successful lives.

    Cons

Small teams means you need to perform at the top of your game. This is not an agency, but the pace and expectations are for world class talent.

Companies growing loose people who are not able to keep up so turn over is consistent.

    Advice to Management

Stay open, keep listening to your talent and being adoptive to new ways of working.

    Pros

Great customer base and you can work with very skilled people.

    Cons

Executive Management not in touch with the people who do the work. If in the "inner circle", you are taken care of. If outside, you will be nervous about keeping a job. Big layoffs this year, then new people hired.

    Advice to Management

Open eyes and ears. People aren't happy and are scared.
