    Pros

Pay and Benefits. Nothing else is good.

    Cons

    1. No advancement opportunities.
    2. Management does not listen to
    employees during projects.
    3. The company is outsourcing everything it can.
    4. It's not what you know, but who you know attitude in management.

    Advice to Management

You have the best talent possible within the company. It's a slap in the face to employees when you outsource jobs that can easily be done by employees.

Workflow processes can work if managed correctly, and consider changes in unique situations, such as locations.

    Pros

Great business with horrible leadership. Strong balances. Long history. When the oil is above $75, everything is rosy there. When it dropped to $25, 20% lay off; then $35, another 10% lay off. Now it is at $50, maybe another 5% individually picking.

    Cons

If you are a minority, and you don't know someone on the top, you will never get a chance. You are expected to be a contributor for years and then will be kicked out at any moment. No matter you are a senior director, manager, staff, you will be pushed out to retire at 50 year old ( really?). Suddenly you realize that what the hell, could I find another gear at this age.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time to get your ducks in the row instead of playing your capital structure all the time. Really money is made from daily daily operation, not from the capital market. Your parent companies all have their own MLPs. I don't think it makes sense to have so many public companies to do the same stuff. Capital market just doesn't like it.

    Pros

The colleagues and coworkers are incredible. You will work with intelligent employees who want to get the job done as a team. There are some great people here.

    Cons

Unfortunately, upper management is terrible. Consider this company like a volleyball team that has a lot of great players but terrible coaches. The VP's and Executives don't care about any of the employees, especially the field personnel who actually operate the plants.
There is no transparency because sudden announcements come out about selling assets, laying off Operators, or exploiting Accountants. You know there is a problem when your company has a fire-sale when Oil Prices are at all-time lows.
Sadly, the culture here is poison because of the toxic leadership. Even in HR, there is only one older lady who truly wants to help whereas all the newer or younger HR employees fail to do their job.

    Advice to Management

Please stop being corrupt. Start being honest with your employees.

    Pros

    Benefits and Flex Friday hours

    Cons

I would never recommend this company to anyone...

    Poor Management
    Extremely Political
    Horrible Communication
Management pitted employees against each other, built completive environment, not collaborative
    No free flow of information
Very old school in communication and very political
Only select people get or know certain information
Does not foster teamwork, actually the opposite

    Advice to Management

No free flow of information, plays favorites, pits teammates against each other, fosters a competitive and toxic environment.

What kind of management style is that??

I worked at DCP Midstream LP full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and VERY good benefits (10% 401k company match)

    Cons

Business units within the company do not play well together which makes it tough if your work requires you to have cross-departmental meetings and work sessions.

    Advice to Management

Collaboration needs to be encouraged from the top down. Make this change and amazing things will start to happen!

    Pros

-Interspersed with many well trained individuals who strive ceaselessly to try and ensure a stable, reliable, and safe operating environment.

    Cons

-Laid off more than 200 employees in January of 2015 many of which had help build the company from the ground up and had irreplaceable and invaluable knowledge of the industry and environments within which they worked.
-Interdepartmental communication is marginal at best.
-Tiered communication between levels of management and below virtually non existent.
    -Employee Training/Development relatively poor.
-Significant waste generated by poor communication.

    Advice to Management

The past year of our restructuring initiative has not only been ineffective, it has been conducive to the degradation of company culture, employee morale, and overall productivity. You have isolated yourselves from the operations environment when you claim its at the very heart of DCP's rebirth. You continue to fail to listen, hear, and consider the direction and guidance of the operations personnel you promised to uphold. These individuals may not hold an engineering degree, may not have gone to college, but many work very hard and take great pride in the efficiency and reliability of the facilities they maintain. When the motto is to 'see something, say something' and that is ignored when it isn't safety related it marginalizes those involved and provokes a migration. While our plight has been dire due to market conditions, these issues existed prior and have only been exacerbated by them. Your restructuring is not only a failure, it requires your removal and a complete board roll-over. Bad times are bad but you've desecrated the only true asset DCP could always rely on, her people.

    Pros

Wonderful employees (excepting Executive team), great position in industry, endless opportunities for process and cost structure improvements, small company with valuable assets. Would be an excellent business for professionals with that entrepreneurial spirit but leadership support is currently non-existent.

    Cons

Executive team has no experience driving business best practices and worse, is unwilling to accept the hard challenges that stand in the way of success. Unnamed C-level executive is a bully, a narcissist and untrustworthy to the point of fracturing the employee base, limiting productivity and driving company performance down, down, down

    Advice to Management

Management doesn't listen to advice. They know everything!
