I worked at DDB Singapore full-time

    Pros

Loved working here. Great people and culture.Upper management takes care of their people. Workload not over the top like other companies I worked for.

    Cons

I grew up in USA, so adjusting to another country and culture was different for me. Although Singapore is a great place to live and has great food and safe... I like being home. Pay was lower than comparable jobs. Which is why I left.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work... but dont forget about the low level guys. We make things run smoothly.

I have been working at DDB Singapore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great system.
    - Lots of work going around to build portfolio and gain exposure.
    - Friendly people

    Cons

    - It's a relatively large agency that there's a lack of investment in their staff. No trainings, no sending us for festivals etc.
    - No increment, no promotions unless you seize the opportunity and ask for it. Again due to the lack of management taking the effort to grow their own talent.
    - Long hours (in my team at least)
    - There's definitely politics that will affect people at the bottom.
    - Benefits could be better compared to what other agencies are offering. 16 days of annual leave, no dental compensation etc.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people to manage the workload.
Grow your talent, send us to trainings and festivals. I've worked in other agencies that have spent a lot more money and time to do that for their staff. Don't give it an excuse of "you haven't proved yourself for me to do that" because an agency is supposed to help it's staff grow together.

I worked at DDB Singapore full-time

    Pros

broad spectrum of local clients, easy access to fame projects if you are on the right team

    Cons

internally very political, not a very transparent agency, actual job scope may vary vastly from agreed upon scope

    Advice to Management

hold town halls, have reviews, be open with your people, don't draw lines between departments and teams

    Pros

my boss is really amazing, some really nice colleagues, fun brands to work on

    Cons

bad benefits, quite a political environment, really underpaid compared to other agencies

    Advice to Management

hire more senior level positions instead of hiring loads of junior peeps

    Pros

Nice company culture, colleagues are like family.

    Cons

Long hours expected. Low pay: one of the lowest in the industry. Doesn't replace senior management that leaves.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring so many juniors and start investing in more senior management.

I have been working at DDB Singapore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Real network, nice people, smart, passionate and good creative approach to idea generation. Would recommend to work here any day.

    Cons

Need better training opportunities, very award focussed instead of sales focused. Need a more processed approach to improve better ways of working.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the people, and you'll get a better product for the clients and increase the profits for the company.

I have been working at DDB Singapore full-time

    Pros

Get to work with nice and talented people - which happens to be the hiring criteria. People are professional and do their jobs well, so things can be made to happen, often in short timelines. Strong capabilities to deliver solutions across both traditional and digital media.

    Cons

While there are agency-wide training programmes, personal mentoring really depends on who you report to - most of the learning will take place on-the-job.
