I have been working at DDR Corp full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, paid time off. While somewhat limited, there is internal growth if you align yourself with the right people.

    Cons

Extremely tall organizational structure which leads to various ambiguous levels (e.g. supervisors, managers, directors etc.) not always on the same page and with conflicting priorities which can be stressful. Understand that it's a real corporate environment, therefore your function will be narrow w/ limited to no interactions with others (unless in management).

    Advice to Management

Create clearer career pathways for current employees that desire growth. Also, limit levels of ambiguous management positions that serve no real intrinsic value to the company.

I worked at DDR Corp full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Worked with a great team of people, good technology resources.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations. No work/life balance. Upper management has very large egos and will throw you under a bus with no second thought about it to make themselves look good.

    Advice to Management

Remember that it's your employees that you need to thank for your continued success, treat them right.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Good benefits, birthday PTO, worked independent from corporate - for the most part they stayed out of your business, almost to a fault. I loved my job, so that's the part I would recommend, but the company was just all over the board.

    Cons

Terrible leadership, poor decision making. Decisions that impacted the property, retailers and customers were made with no real validity expect that one person just decided it sounded like a good idea. Factual information and technology had no relevance. They just keep going further back in time rather than ramping up and getting themselves into the 21st Century.

    Advice to Management

Value your current employees and listen to their ideas.

  10. "Manager"

    Pros

Great co-workers, interesting and diverse work, fair compensation and benefits package

    Cons

Lack of true career paths for talented individuals. Too much focus on interns who are given better job assignments.

    Advice to Management

Activate a mentoring program to benefit all employees.
