I worked at DDRC full-time
4 day 36 hour work week. Great work/life balance. Incredible benefits especially low cost of health insurance and vacation accrual. Great people who really care about staff. Great training for entry level staff.
Little opportunity for advancement at upper levels of the organization.
I worked at DDRC part-time (Less than a year)
The company is very generous with time off and salaried benefits. Part time workers are extended an equally generous scheduling flexibility.
Many of the senior and seasoned employees tend to be "set in their ways." This means that at times there are conflicts between them.

The senior leadership truly cares about the success and well-being of employees. The agency strives to provide support and resources to people with developmental disabilities, and does a really great job of it. I believe this is the only developmental disabilities service provider in the province that has a social committee to encourage strong, friendly relationships. We have great employee recognition programs, a thorough training program, opportunities for advancement, a commitment to diversity in hiring, a safe environment, and an agency history to be proud of. The vision of the DDRC is "everyone belongs," and it lives by this vision.
We're funded by the government, so you never really know if there are going to be funding cuts or changes to what is funded in the future.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing - you've got some happy employees. Don't be afraid to innovate and think outside of the box.
