I have been working at DEA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

My profession provides me the ability to investigate cases all over the world which helps to benefit society. During my 22 years as an investigator I was fortunate enough to meet law enforcement personnel from many different statesand countries. I have built relationships with these individuals which has helped me become a successful agent.

    Cons

I continue to enjoy my job as a Special Agent and would recommend the position to anyone interested in a career in Federal Law Enforcement. The only negative aspect to the job, is that DEA needs to provide more training opportunities.

    Advice to Management

As stated above regarding training, I would recommend that opportunities, such as foreign language skills be provided to domestic based agents.
