    Pros

    Excellent colleagues, interesting mix of freight shipping, logistics and cruise activities, inspiring management, opportunities to rapid progress and develop if you are willing to take responsibility

    Cons

    Compensation in line with industry but bonuses are reserved for management, primarily. Low brand awareness

    Advice to Management

    Raise awareness of the company - be more engaged in campus recruiting and employer branding.

    Pros

    Paid break drinks machine but have pay

    Cons

    0 hour contract, low pay(minimum wage) no room for advancement, no where to keep your food(fridge etc) other employees will pick at you if your new. Managers just look other way. Be prepared to be yelled at like you've joined the army. Always working overnight. no OT rate,Other employees will steal from you. Immingham car drivers!!

    Treat us like humans not pigs.

    * Fellow employees are great

    * Office is clean

    Cons

    * Lack of training

    * Ad-hoc approach to all problems, 0 forethought

    * Nasty blame culture

    * Communication amongst different departmental and shifts is severely lacking, creating more problems than solutions

    * Poor work/life balance, if that's what you're looking for

    Pros

    Brilliant family feel for a large organisation,
    Pay is fare and realistic

    Cons

    closed door management, worst blame culture I have ever experienced and disgraceful training procedures.

    Advice to Management

    Try involving your staff in decision making. When employee engagement surveys deliver bad news it usually means you need to change something, not that you asked the wrong questions.

    I have been working at DFDS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Your ideas is always welcome. The no blame culture is rooted in top management. You can evolve and move around in the company. It is a fantastic workplace if you are not easily stressed. The key motivator is the shared goal from top to bottom that customers comes first.

    Cons

    It is a little tough for people who dislikes changes. Many employees work from time to time long hours, but to be fair, you are always being taking care of, if you are thrown a curve ball in your private life.

    Advice to Management

    Keep improving work processes and customer focus. Maybe make a small bonus program for all employees, not much but let for instance the Christmas gift be followed by a small check of 100-200$ and an explanation why this was achieved.

    Pros

    No blame culture, most people try to get the best results for the business. Fairly good benefits. Nice offices.

    Cons

    Very frustrating to observe repeated customer complaints about the same issues without proper resolution.

    Advice to Management

    Make internal teams accountable for customer satisfaction results... performance related pay would certainly help increase standards.
