I worked at DHG full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

I learned a lot of technical skills at DHG. Most of my supervisors were pretty laid back. The CIO is kind of uptight. It must be that he has a lot of stress due to the partners always breathing down his back, nevertheless, he could have been more of an advocate for the technology staff instead of always chasing the laser light that the partners use to keep him spinning. Most of the experienced guys there when I arrived...

    Cons

One of my supervisors was "micro-manager of the year" during the time I was at DHG. We lost a lot of very capable IT engineers due to micro-management in the IT Department.

    Advice to Management

Get some new blood in your top and mid-level management structure. Put people in charge who actually CARE about people and not just how profitable your bottom line appears!

I have been working at DHG for more than 2 years

    Pros

I don't feel like just a number here. They proactively invest in their employees to make sure they are able to best represent themselves and the company in a very competitive market.

    Cons

As is expected with every consultant opportunity, you need to be flexible to travel at a moments notice.

    Advice to Management

Truly enforce work - life balance and life beyond numbers. They're doing a good job so far, just need to continue to enforce.

I worked at DHG full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Company credit card, free snacks and drinks, bonuses, free meals when making you work 60+ hour weeks

      Cons

While I was there, they cared SO much about their Glassdoor and Vault ratings - which is obvious by all of the similar reviews below saying it is a "great place to work". Office management and politics are insane here. Management plays clear favorites and if you aren't a favorite, good luck getting a good raise or evaluation when you work more than most people in the office. They are really good at lying to your face...

      Advice to Management

Try to focus on the offices where turnover is terrible and figure out why.

I have been working at DHG full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Free snacks, beverages and catered lunch.

      Cons

Leadership does not care about the employees, high turnaround, their motto is if you don't like it here leave. Human resources are horrible.

      Advice to Management

Try to figure out why your employees are so unhappy, listen to your employees complaints and look for a resolution.

I worked at DHG full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

      - family-style office - stepping stone role - talent pool lacking so easy to stand out

      Cons

      - incompetent, power-trip senior managers/directors - promises incentives for employee referrals, then finds any reason not to pay - bonus pool was <1% salary - back office projects - HR does not deliver communications on timelines promised prior

      Advice to Management

Management decisions for the Risk Advisory Group have been dissapointment after disappointment. Withholding payouts for employee referrals for various reasons. Firing individuals with no documentation of poor performance but simply because a senior manager/director have power-driven issues to compensate for incompetence. A bonus pool that is insulting. Promise work life balance but senior managers coerce to eat hours....

I worked at DHG full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Free coffee, vending machines, catered lunches and the ability to work from home.

      Cons

Management hired me for a skill set but quickly had me performing work that was outside of our agreement. The work hours that were discussed was 50, but it was frequently more (and we were pressure to “do what it takes”). Management shows little initiative to teach and frequently forces lower tiered employees to “own” projects with little instruction. Hostile and stressful most times. Opinions and suggestions...

      Advice to Management

Be honest with your associates from beginning to end. “Open communication” isn’t open if the employee feels that their voice isn’t valued.
