I have been working at DHG full-time

    Pros

    DHG does have great benefits!

    Cons

The Recruiting Team needs lots of improvement - from process to leadership. Growing too fast! There is lots of favoritism and prejudice and upper management isn't listening. Hiring mangers do whatever they want - they doesn't show up to interviews or cancel at last minute.

    Advice to Management

The HR and RAS Leadership Team needs to be more involved and hold managers accountable.

    I worked at DHG full-time

    Pros

I interned and than started full time employment as an associate. Many social events throughout the internship and first year that allows you to meet everyone from associates to partners. Partners have open door policy.

    Cons

    - Internship is not thoroughly planned out. It's really what you make out of it. No one is going to give you work unless you ask. - HR seemed to playfavorites especially in Tyson's office. - All upper management care about is numbers. Whether it is numbers of interns hired to numbers of offers made after internship. - Can be stuck in one industry forever.

    Advice to Management

    - Treat associate with more respect. - Need major changes in HR personnel, -Ensure associates feel comfortable enough to give feedback.

I have been working at DHG

      Pros

Interesting work and clients. Nice co-workers

      Cons

      - In 2017 lack of diversity! This is discouraging to see - Favoritism - Healthcare outlook behind the rest of the country(depending on what office you are working out of) -Lack of managing in upper management as well as lack of building mentorship like relationship. -Lack of training

      Advice to Management

If a manager is to be a mentor, it's advisable to look at the issues within and to see why the frustrations exist. It's important to keep up with the times...diversity is necessary

      I worked at DHG full-time

      Pros

Successful and fast growing South East based CPA firm. The company retained great people to work with at all levels and opportunities for fast advancement. Maintained the small company culture, with resources and capabilities close to the big 4.

      Cons

High turnover in upper management at a point in time along with the typical ups and downs in Public Accounting, issues experienced across the board by most firms in the industry. Overall great company and that cares and treats their valuable employees well.

      Pros

Everyone is very helpful and willing to explain complicated topics. Lot of outings and opportunities to meet other employees outside of work.

      Cons

Work load during summer is very slow and busy work is given. Upper management not well connected to associates.

      Advice to Management

Make managers more approachable through opportunities to go to lunch.

I have been working at DHG full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

The staff are great. The work is interesting. The hours outside of busy season are pretty reasonable.

      Cons

There's a lot of pressure and it has gotten worse in the past year or so. It feels like upper management wants to be a big 4 and that mindset is being pushed down.

I have been working at DHG full-time for more than 20 years

      Pros

Management is very intelligent and has a great open door policy. The Benefits package was excellent, as was the time off policy and having a work life balance.

      Cons

Due to many different mergers the small accounting firm feel is in the past and the upper management has more of a concern on the bottom line than their employees needs.

      Advice to Management

In consideration to the geographic location the salaries are not as competitive as competitors and staff is overworked and under appreciated.
