I have been working at DHG full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexibility, the people, their efforts to promote work life balance and to host many social events throughout the year, much better hours than working at larger big-4 type firms

    Cons

Public accounting, emphasis on meeting budgets that are sometimes unrealistic

I have been working at DHG full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work life balance culture at the firm leaves nothing to complain about. The people are great and the client base is good. The work is really enjoyable here.

    Cons

The 401k could have a better employer contribution.

    Advice to Management

Communication among the engagement teams could be a bit better

I have been working at DHG

    Pros

Great work life balance. Certain leaders are fantastic and have perspective on market and what clients and employees are looking for.

    Cons

401K plan is not competitive. Some internal procedures in administration, training, and other internal technologies are slow to change or outdated. Leadership has benefited from brining in new perspectives.

I have been working at DHG full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Growing with a consulting practice that feels more like a startup than a big consulting shop. - The importance of work-life balance is highly regarded and encouraged throughout the entire firm. - They truly care about their people and making sure they're happy and listen to them when they want to be heard. - A refreshing alternative to working for the Big 4.

    Cons

    - Some individuals may feel more like an employee of the client than DHG itself. However, the RAS practice is taking this very seriously and is addressing the issue.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to motivate people that are on less than desirable projects.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at DHG full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Compensation, Benefits (with the exception of 401k), friendly people, abundance of learning materials, trainings and functions are very well orchestrated, no issues with work/life balance, great referral program (although I would never pull any true friends into this)

    Cons

Don't bother telling management what you want to do, and don't bother applying to a certain line of business within Risk Advisory... they don't care, and won't consider what your career goals and interests are. No 401k match, no transparency surrounding available projects, project deployment based on contracts which can be lengthy, consultants are forgotten once out on projects, management could not care less about whether...

    Advice to Management

Listen to what your employees are telling you. If you hire individuals under the premise that they'll be challenged and tasked with projects that align with their career goals and interests, follow through. Don't tell one story in recruiting talent, and then change it when the candidates join. Does "Bait and Switch" sound familiar? It's obnoxious to hear management talk about all the things that makes DHG a wonderful...

I have been working at DHG full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Specialization from day one, good work/life balance, excellent relationships with co-workers, effective evaluation process

    Cons

Racism and sexism still exist in this culture, management encourages auditors to disregard issues in order to keep clients happy, communication can be guarded at times when it really should be open

    Advice to Management

Let go of archaic southern schools of thought and develop your female and minority staff rather than hiring hoardes of dweeby white men who have no future in public accounting
