I have been working at DHL Express full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

room For growth. Decent pay. Free stuff sometimes.

    Cons

Don’t work here. No one is on the same page. Management tells you one thing but then tell you another thing if you ask someone else. They are so understaffed that your slammed every single day. And if you take a moment to breath your going to have management breathing down your neck asking you why your not taking calls. You can have the best stats on the team but if your not a favorite it’s not good enough.

Also because they are so understafred they will take your break away. They say they are customer service but We are suppose to get people off the phone within 260 seconds.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be on the same page. Appreciate employees who actually do their job. Please stop micro managing people if they have to log off the phone to use the restroom.

I worked at DHL Express full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Nice building, cafe, co-workers, clean

    Cons

Benifits to high, training not thorough, lots of nepotism, no raises, breaks took short, management and leadership do not care about employees were used to have great perks but when they grew to a larger building they took them all away, does not allow you to have days off for any reason no matter how long in advance you notify then unless you have sick time or vacation days. Front line advisors handle to many types of calls are overloaded beyond training managers straight up tell you to lie to customers and very stressful position.

    Pros

Great teamwork. Good salary and benefits.

    Cons

You must work very quickly every day, sometimes it is impossible to reach targets.

    Advice to Management

There was a lot of trainings and team building programs. Not any more. We need this program to grow up.

I worked at DHL Express full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I loved the training and the time they spent on each person.
very detailed and easy to learn
Loved the people and the company ideals

    Cons

I was let go because of an innocent misunderstanding. I think they should be a little more workable.

    Advice to Management

Should be more about their people and be more understanding.

I worked at DHL Express full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a pretty good job. Wide variety of responsibilities. Days flew by because we were busy.

    Cons

Left to run office operations often. The manager at our location was very unprofessional. She would leave for 2 hours and come back. Expected us to do a lot of her duties. We had horrible office supplies, desks falling apart etc. The station money was a bonus for the manager if it wasn't spent, so she kept it and we had unsafe working environments.

    Advice to Management

Follow up and closely manage the station managers.

I worked at DHL Express full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent and decided upon your past experience.

    Cons

Once out of training you basically are thrown onto the phones and expected to do ALOT of on the job training. There is alot that is not covered in the classroom that could and should have been.

    Advice to Management

One more week in training covering the "trace" procedures and reasons for opening them would save everyone time. Invest more time in having a knowledgeable base to start with, not just scripting.

    Pros

Training for my class was the best in the industry, but they didn't continue with later classes.

    Cons

Terrible pay, high stress environment, too many levels of management, horrbile changes, closures, forced out employees since German Post Office took over.

    Advice to Management

US service is a joke, the company is nothing like it was. DHL was a great company...but not any more.
