    Pros

    Company is growing tremendously in USA. Possibilities to grow along and learn. People who genuinely care about you starting with the Recruiting Team.

    Cons

    Growing pains which is understandable. so communication is on the fuzzy side. Nothing else come to mind. Managers do get confused.

    You can work on your feedback/communication skills.

    I have been working at DHL Express full-time

    Pros

    - 3 weeks PTO given at beginning of year
    - Not very cut throat
    - Good training program for new employees
    - Cafe on site

    Cons

    - Certain heavyweight shipments the company allows you to sell to customers but does not pay you on them. Baffling that they can get away with this. Its genius for the company, they let you sell and they get the revenue but don't pay the sales rep.
    - Recent changes make hitting commission WAY harder
    - Management took away ability to work OT
    - Low base salary of 35k
    - Quarterly commissions (miss commission one quarter and you go 6 months without receiving a commission check. This happens to every sales rep as the average sales rep hits commission 2/4 quarters)
    - Company is struggling financially (no growth for past 5 months)
    - Company cares about irrelevant KPI's rather than revenue
    - Company is a shell of what it once was several years ago, avoid working here

    Advice to Management

    - Bring back heavyweight so sales force can sell a competitive advantage again. Right now UPS and FedEx can do everything we can do + they sell domestic!
    - Pay employees competitive wages (base salary for inside sales at DHL is roughly 10k lower than what FedEx offers its employees)
    - Improve the terrible morale amongst the floor by bringing back everything that once made DHL a great place to work
    - Be transparent. Stop saying "theres never a better time to work at DHL", because thats completely false as it was a better time years ago, not anymore.

    Great Benefits and International company and will pay you to move

    Cons

    Micro-managed, managers don't know much about the sales role, KPI driven all about quantity not quality. All fresh college grads that its their first job feels like you're in a fraternity. All work no play, no recognition for a good job.

    Its a great working atmosphere, footballs flying, cheering and such. Its a great job for a recent college grad. And an awesome Resume Builder. Good job to start learning how the Corporate world works

    Cons

    Boring job, company sometimes doest pay employees their bonus, and its a closed minded set or co workers. When you're and over achiever and want more out of life they look at you and treat you weird

    Pros

    Amazing company to be a part of. We have been and keep growing tremendously, which means there is plenty of advancement opportunities. There is always very open communication with upper management even though it is a huge company. Co workers are great, most of us are in this company for the long run and most likely will be occupying leadership roles in the future.
    I am proud to work here, there is no better feeling than watching the DHL plane flying over the building early in the morning.

    Cons

    Telesales reps are getting a lower salary when they make the jump to outside sales. People that are not familiar with the industry that are being brought from outside and are getting higher salaries.

    Advice to Management

    To give a more competitive salary for people growing within the company. Invest more in TS reps making the jump to field. We love this company, we can be way more profitable than people coming from outside.

    Pros

    At DHL there is a really great office culture. You have access to managers who help you set and meet sales targets. Upper management really cares about employees and there are a lot of opportunities to get involved beyond your basic job description. We had a kickball team, did volunteer projects at local schools and there was a small gym at the office!

    Cons

    Fast paced environment, which can be good but if you accept this job, realize 90% of your day is spent making sales calls. There's a mix of following up on leads, cold calling and maintaining your existing customer base. If you don't like being on the phone making 50+ calls a day this is not the job for you.

    Pros

    It was a very supportive friendly place to work. We had a great team at sales and lots of support from our supervisors.Supervisors tried their best and did great follow so that new hires can take on their new territories.

    Cons

    Very call driven, I don't think the emphasis on the amount of calls is as necessary as the emphasis on closing a deal.

    Pros

    potential for advancement, mainly if you can relocate, commissions are good if you are able to meet them. benefits are good.

    Cons

    commission goals become harder and harder to obtain every quarter and some quarters are near impossible to make plan

    some managers are good, others are not in right position

    management should be consistent across the board, they should not favor certain employees need to make sure that everybody understands their career aspirations and creates a path for them to be achieved.
