    Continue to reinvest revenue back into tools/resources that positively impact sales process for sales team. Increase use of technology both operationally and via sales.

    * Decent Base Salary * Good global operations network * Opportunities for advancement

    Cons

    * Short-term commission period where acquisition revenue is often discontinued before a new account fully ramps up their shipping with DHL *Micromanagement at an unbearable level. You're not treated like a professional. *Responsible for an extreme level of admin work and way too many performance discussions and often unnecessary meetings that keeps one away from maximizing sales revenue * You feel like an easily replaceable...

    Great benefits and PTO program. My peers and coworkers were great to work with as well. Very passionate group. "Coaching" type of atmosphere. They want you to succeed.

    Cons

    Management preaches respect and results but are mainly results focused. Many leave the respect factor behind.

    No company car, low salary and bonus structure changes yearly, Executives have no clue the pressure placed on sales force

      I worked at DHL Express full-time for more than a year

      Pros

      fast paced, great compensation plan, interesting industry, they generally try to promote from within which is great. the culture is amazing too.

      Cons

      work-life balance, outdated internal systems, just not an efficient company. business model is flawed. they want you to have a minimum of 25 visits per week on top of prospecting/cold calling, all of the admin work like pricing, tracking shipments, onboarding new customers, maintenance of existing accounts, etc. You can't just focus on what is important, you have to do it all.

      Advice to Management

      Cut out some of the KPI's. They aren't helping, but inhibiting sales people. Raise the quota, and believe that your people will do what they need to do, how they want to do it.
