Tail gates with free food and random gifts (car chargers, shirts, giftcards)
Good insurance bundles (even for domestic partners, no marriage needed)

    Cons

Physically Demanding, favoritism, super cold or hot depending on the weather, very loud, weird break policies (take a break when you NEED one, they aren't scheduled. But when you take a break, management rushes you and seems annoyed with you ).

    Pros

Great benefits. Cost of insurance is not too high.

    Cons

Management is slow in making needed changes. Allows associates to over-work for months in order to "save money".

I have been working at DHL Supply Chain full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Incentive Pay

    Retention Bonus

    Extra Pay on Holidays

    Vacation time (after 90 days)

Floating Holidays on top of vacation time

8 Absent Credits (1 credit equals an eight hour shift).

Insurance and full benefits after 90 days (including first half of retention bonus).

Will offer part-time if that works better for your schedule.

    Will work with college students

General Manager is very down to earth and will talk/treat to you like a coworker.

Very big on safety. BBS observations, in general observations, correcting wrong/dangerous actions, filling out MHE sheets, the whole nine yards.

    Cons

Workloads differ daily, which can mean VTO or Mandatory OT. Usually there is warning before mandated over time.

So far we have unloaded EVERYTHING, no matter what condition it is in the trailer, but cannot send bad loads out because they are direct to customer. This is bad for indirect (incentive pay) because the person unloading it does not get incentive hours for getting a bad trailer.

Taking pictures of problems is the go to when a problem arises, but nothing seems to actually be done about it (what is the point?).

There can be mandatory over time (not often unless the busy season), which was not really said up front when applying for the job. You will get fired (after exhausting your points) if you fail to show up for mandatory sixth and seventh days if you haven't been excused.

    Advice to Management

Give more attention to all shifts.

Find good explanations for things. That way employees remember what was said and can actually apply it to their work.
