    I have been working at DICK'S Sporting Goods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    •Good insurance benefits for a low price taken out of each paycheck
    •management focuses on getting you to the next level and helping you achieve those goals
    •great team to work with
    •hours are there if you want them
    •when you sell 5 credit cards you get a $10 gift card and there is no limit for cc
    •yearly evaluation and possible raise
    •they offer websites to help build your knowledge about the product and once you complete a module you can get a good percentage off of what you studied to buy for yourself
    •if they see potential and hard work being done/ leadership they will promote you most of the time
    •meet awesome people/athletes
    •opportunities to travel to other stores
    •many different positions in the company to be promoted to
    •many stores will be opening in the next few years so lots of opportunity
    •good communication with team

    Cons

    •some veterans are hard to work with
    •hours of retail are never set in stone
    •holidays can be overwhelming for those that don't have much retail experience

    My school and work schedule began to over lap, and I started to miss school

    The discount and that is it.

    Cons

    Horrible employee training, not enough associates on the floor, and management is is appalling.

    Advice to Management

    Fire your department managers when they are causing the entire store to be miserable.

    discount, solid location, some good co-workers

    Cons

    picking up the slack of brown-nosers, treated poorly by stressed managers, people constantly pushing work onto other people, unrealistic expectations due to man power or high volume of traffic

    Consider multiple perspectives when creating policies.
