I have been working at DICK'S Sporting Goods part-time (More than a year)
Pros
Hours are very flexible
Managers are approachable and easy to talk to, always willing to answer any question
Easy to get time off when needed, even at the last minute (like for a last minute doctor's appointment)
Relaxed environment
Not overly demanding when it comes to pushing the rewards card (just a simple mention of it is plenty)
Cons
A bit more training could help
A new walkie system could definitely help
Computers can be very slow at times, which doesn't help when helping customers with online orders
Advice to Management
Invest in more training, new walkies, and new computers. All three would go a long way.

If you drink at least a little bit of the kool-aid, you'll have a good time here
Ability to advance if you're ambitious
Associate discount on most items
Cons
Very little incentive to perform well
Your experience will vary widely based upon the shift managers you have
Lower than average pay
Often need to pick up the slack of other associates
Embarrassingly slow computers make it hard to quickly help customers
Could use better technical training (not just 1-2 minute videos)
My feet hurt after my shift most days
Advice to Management
Computer systems need to be upgraded for speed, badly
Stop holding onto employees that bring bad vibes
Need more ways to boost employee morale
