    I worked at DICK'S Sporting Goods full-time

    Pros

Good team , fun work environment and its fun helping kids gear up for sports for their first time.

    Cons

Lots of demands and unrealistic goals from being experts and services to unloading trucks and covering other departments... The daily balance to achieve it all is unrealistic with their scheduling.

    Advice to Management

Train better and make people more adaptable instead of pros.

    Pros

    Cons

if there is something we know we are not allowed to do and we tell the customer that they will talk to a manager and he will say to just take care of it and it makes us look bad .

I worked at DICK'S Sporting Goods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay for retail with $14-19 an hour

    Cons

A ton of work, non stop if you're in a intense market.
Managers are often overworked as well, so you have no fallback.
Store Hours will fluctuate wildly and same for your schedule which will change from a divide between closing and opening to sometimes closing every day even if your a lead.
Terrible benefits, you won't accrue PTO until you complete a year of full-time.
Promotions are held like carrots that are rarely given, lots of promises that conflict with other promises to others.

    Advice to Management

    Give these stores more hours
