I have been working at DICK'S Sporting Goods part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Surrounded by sports related merchandise, 25% discount on most items, great coworkers, and high turnover rate making it easier to move up.

    Cons

Most employees are underpaid, some months you are given a ton of hours and others you get very little, and the job can be very demanding with statistics, especially as a cashier, even when you aren't getting paid much at all. Also, there is a rewards system but most of the time the managers don't even do it unless there is going to be a corporate visit.

    Advice to Management

Enforce the reward system so the employees want to actually work harder.

I worked at DICK'S Sporting Goods part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Laid back atmosphere, flexible hours, easy work, good coworkers, dress code was extremely comfortable ( gym clothes basically), overtime was usually available.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations from store manager which meant even more unrealistic expectations from corporate. Hard work wasn't really rewarded and there is not much room for growth.
