I worked at DIRECTV (Less than a year)

    Pros

All the staff at the company got along very well, we all enjoyed our work, some more than others.

    Cons

The grind of listening to customer after customer call in with the most basic issue got a bit tiring and cumbursome

I worked at DIRECTV (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I was lucky enough to leave before the att merger/acquisition (whatever you want to call it). Dtv was a great and fun environment, however it seemed on who your manager was you could have very different opinions. Great bonuses/employee engagement pre-merger

    Cons

micromanagement by some of the managers and how quickly they would write you if you didn't meet the exact combination of certain metrics.also moving up was sometimes impossible because how tightly they often moved up the "most liked" employees.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees as people, build people up, and not tear them down.

    Advice to Management

Delegate a little better, also a little better training in the beginning.
