I have been working at DISH full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of hours and lots of money made with overtime. Always have work available. Provide uniforms/ rain coats/ jackets/ hats/ use company van and tools while at work. If you sell something you get points to buy cool stuff.

    Cons

Management is not usually hired internally so they are clueless and can not help the new technicians so the new technicians perform badly. Selling items used to be fun but now if you don't sell your job is threatened. Schedule changes last minute. No work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers internally. Just because someone has a college degree does not make them fit to perform a skilled trade such as satellite communications.

I worked at DISH full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Great Experience
    Good People
    Lots of opportunities

    Cons

I left because of my manager not the company. He was not supportive and was pulled in so many directions he couldn't help any of his direct reports. He would constantly change is mind on what should be done and how and as a result we were always in change mode. He tired and stressed me out and it impacted my health negatively.

    Advice to Management

    Don't spread people to thin.
