    Pros

Typically set hours, not very much unexpected hours. Easy position and the job pays well

    Cons

The warehouse has bay doors and is not air conditioned. However, this was notified at the start so it was not unexpected

I have been working at DISH full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company to work for - I started as a contractor and quickly moved up to become a full time employee. There is a ton of opportunity for growth if you work hard, get out of your comfort zone, and show initiative. DISH treats their employees well and you will be rewarded. If you want to have a career and a good one at that - DISH is the place to work!

    Cons

Large company - might feel a little lost in the mix

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing your employees to be the best. Help them grow professionally and personally!

Don't find one and I see some people complain about core hours but it works great for me.

I have been working at DISH full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Always innovating and looking to grow as a company. Has helped the company stay on top of "whats coming next." Bonus potential on every check is outstanding and on top of that perq points where you can buy just about anything for just offering Audio/Video products and services. Lots of certifications to add on besides being a Satellite TV technician.

    Cons

Have to work at least one weekend day.

    Advice to Management

Work out the schedule to where each technician can take their weekend work day off and enjoy a full weekend off. Could be done on a rotational basis.

I have been working at DISH full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Dish puts a lot of effort into finding the right individuals that fit their culture. They have room for growth and provide learning opportunities along the way. They don't shy away from hiring less experienced people that process certain traits.

    Cons

The only negative feedback I could give is that their hiring process is too long. I interviewed (phone and in person) with 7 people- that being said it was mostly to ensure that I was the right for the team.

I have been working at DISH full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The best part of DISH is that the company provides numerous opportunities for employees who are creative and eager to work hard to get ahead. This is partly because our culture rewards people who take ownership and risks to try new things, and partly because we do have high turnover in certain areas. If you're looking for a cushy corporate job with a nice expense account and great benefits, this isn't it (no doubt part of the turnover issue). If you're looking for a place where you can grow your career faster and try more interesting and innovative things than anywhere else, DISH could be a great fit for you.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the company is still rooted in something of a command-and-control mentality when it comes to things like monitoring employee's time and not being able to work from home. For some people, this feels like a lack of trust and forward-thinking from senior leaders. I see their point, but also feel like the restraints are part of the cost we pay to be given exceptional trust in other areas, like how we develop our careers.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of core hours, not because people don't want to work that time, but because it communicates a lack of trust and care for employees.
