    Pros

Laid back environment but always busy. Do your work right the first time and there is no issues. Coworkers are some of the greatest people I've worked with and have become friends.

    Cons

Very metric based company. Some metrics are out of your control and you still get hit on your metrics when it is not your fault. Also they want a degree for management so a lot of the newer hires have degrees but little experience.

    Advice to Management

Hire people with experience not just because they hold a degree. Also be fair with the metrics.

I have been working at DISH full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Good learning opportunities
    - Internal transfer possible provided you do well in your current role
    - Company strives to become #1 in the pay tv industry.
    - Surrounded by passionate people
    - Good vision.
    - 401k match, ESPP plan, profit sharing and Dishscriber(free AT250 subscription with HBO, cinemax and starz)

In return they expect their employees to be as passionate and hardworking as the top management. I don't think that's much they are asking for! Yes, they expect their employees to work 40hours/ week. That's what anyone is paid for.

    Cons

    - Less paid leaves compared to the others in industry
    - Health insurance plan has very high deductibles
    - I've not been there yet but I heard the salary hikes are not too great

I have been working at DISH (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great earning potential. Dedicated and focused ISAs can make over $80k/yr (some over $100k).

Leadership from coach to GM level is very strong and care about our success as an ISA.

Co-workers are willing to help and keep a good/fun working environment.

Good amount of awards and recognition for the top performers.

    Cons

Management above GM level does not seem to have a true pulse on their frontline workers (ISAs). They do not make an effort to connect with ISAs nor get a good feel of our day to day. At times the ISAs and leads look like they are walking on pins and needles.

Benefits are expensive and deductibles are very high.

Attendance policies can be strict (but vague at the same time).

Harsh penalties at times for mistakes on the phones that are not really true negative customer impacts.

    Advice to Management

Get a feel for the people who work for you from ISA's to the GM.

Can be monotonous because of phone
The company's base is in Colorado so it's sometimes difficult to move up in other locations.

    Pros

-You get back as much as you put in
-Work by yourself and at your own pace
    -You get to work outdoors
    -Training is top notch

    Cons

-Can be very stressful on busy days
-Management can expect a bit too much at times
-Long hours are a regular occurrence
    -You get to work outdoors

    Advice to Management

Bridge the gap between resource centers and techs. Explain how it works that way techs don't have to complain every single day about how backwards routes can be.

    Pros

The people. They all go through the trenches with you and for you. The fact that they're moving in the right direction with pay

    Cons

Favoritism of management. Benefits aren't good for anyone. The salary is still below standards of the industry. Time off could be better

    Advice to Management

Get to know the lower ranks. Listen to them, spend time with them. They'll tell you what's working and isn't working
