I worked at DISH full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Potential to make a lot of money is there.

    Cons

There is no job security there. I was fired after making one mistake. No review, write up, just fired.

    Advice to Management

Everyone should be worth a second chance. People have families to care for. I actually enjoyed being there and spoke highly of the company til this happened.

I have been working at DISH full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Solid pay structure. You can make money here. Training is excellent. Tons of resources to assist agents. Nice building not shared with any other company. This is a company that seems very efficient. Everything I have encountered so far has been impressive.

    Cons

None that I can think of at the moment with exception of medical benefits. Not a big fan of a high deductible but the money you can make here can offset that. Pretty happy with my decision to come here

    Advice to Management

This is advice to people considering DISH. This is an inbound calls center. It is stressful. You have to be able to handle that stress. If you cannot handle dealing with customers all day and making very good money if successful, it is not for you. I have seen this industry eat people up and spit them out. You have to have a certain kind of attitude to be successful. If you have that attitude, there is a low risk high reward here.

    Cons

Micro manage high turnover expected to sell people stuff that is overpriced .expect to become a professional liar.some days long hours.will fire you on a moments notice and lie about why.you on your own when it comes to needing help .hr don't care.in all dish is full of

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to employees.speak up for them when corporate make insinuations about their performance .you see the tech everyday so you know what's up.have hr visit more so they can voice themselves face to face.i know y'all can protect your best techs better to help the keep their jobs.the amount of work you expect from the techs and the time to do it needs to be addressed .

I have been working at DISH full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Free Dish services as an employee. Overall, good laid back employees.

    Cons

Upper management is very traditional. They are more concerned with how the work was done, not the actual work. No working from home, very little leniency on "core" hours. Feature Creep software with ambiguous deadlines.

    Advice to Management

    Stop micro managing.
