I have been working at DISYS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work-life balance is great. They treat you like an adult. As long as you do your job and do it correctly, no one is writing you up about coming in 5 minutes late. They understand that employees have a life outside of work and a good work-life balance is key to employee production and retention. There are concerns about culture and employees are being heard and improvements are being made.

    Cons

    Medical insurance is HIGH
No scheduled work from home days

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to the employees and DISYS will continue to excel on its path to growth.

    Pros

Life-work balance. Nobody will be after you if you arrive 10 minutes late to work. The CEO is humble.

    Cons

The sales team environment at corporate is toxic. Certain employees talk/yell in a demeaning way at others either in person, via email and even at meetings. Obvious scenarios trying/stepping on co-workers to show who is "important" can be observed. The whole situation creates an unprofessional and uncomfortable place to work.

    Advice to Management

Why would anyone in their right set of mind would spend most of their week being mistreated and disrespected? Take real disciplinary action against the employees who you already know are creating these issues. If you continue allowing this to happen, you will continue to loose employees.

I worked at DISYS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The base salaries the are paid for Account Executives and Recruiters are above industry average. The commission comp plan is also very good. The company dress code is very relax too.

    Cons

Upper Management and Senior Leadership has absolutely zero communication with Account Executive, Recruiters, Delivery Manager or even Managing Directors. The company as a whole in 2016 lost over 50% of its internal employees. One office went from 22-25 employees at the beginning of 2016 to 3-5 employees by the end of the year. There are many other cons to list, but the bottom line is DISYS is in a tailspin, if you value your career progression you will stay away from DISYS if you can.

    Advice to Management

Start treating your employees like people, rather that employee numbers.

I have been working at DISYS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It really depends on which department you work for and who is your boss. Sales are definitely favored and operations / IT stay pretty consistent. The location is incredibly convenient (minus the Tyson traffic). Close to the gym and different places to eat. The parking deck is wonderful for those hot or cold days. The work is never ending so the days fly by. People are nice, you just have to get past the awkward part. Free breakfast on Fridays and the occasional group outings which are increasing. The company realizes their inconsistencies and is trying to improve and I do believe they will. Did receive a bonus but it wasn't a company wide thing, nor a guaranteed thing. Flexibility with working remote. Very diverse company serving a lot of minorities.

    Cons

A LOT of changes always. People come and go (or are let go) all the time since I started. And people getting moved around the office as well. Which makes it hard to establish a consistent TEAM of sorts but the ones who have stuck around get along great. Sales and Recruiting are favored so not much recognition of the hard work done by others. No raises or even talks about them. No performance reviews to help you know where you are and where you're going within the company. A majority of the work is with overseas so language can be an issue but nothing that affects output too much.

    Advice to Management

Reading some of the reviews makes you want to run and hide I'm sure. And yes I can understand why some people feel this way about DISYS because they were my colleagues and I've seen their struggle. However I do believe we are moving in the right direction. So keep doing what you're doing. Getting people together and establishing those consistencies and hopefully the reviews will get better too. Also put together a company wide performance evaluation that establishes short and long term goals for each employee so commitments can increase. And give out bonuses and raises annually based on these reviews not just to sales and recruiting but everyone who works here. Recognize people and their hard work especially those who have stuck around.

I worked at DISYS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is decent, a few mid-level managers were tolerable.

    Cons

Where do I start. You name it - it was pretty dismal. Executive Management in McLean, back office operations were a mess, many colleagues within the office (especially Account Managers) were petulant, egotistical and highly unprofessional, that got away with unethical behavior in the name of sales.

    Advice to Management

Take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself why you work there? How you manage to sleep at night knowing the blatant lies and garbage that you spew to both your internal and external clients is beyond me. You have an incredible responsibility to the lives that you effect, your time of turning the ship around has past; so at the very least just try to keep the flames at bay.

    Pros

DISYS has experienced some growing pains as a result of a new vertical model. However, there are eager leaders in place that are working hard to change company culture and moral despite all the changes. DISYS still offers competitive base salaries and have moved to a better commission structure. Their core competency is staffing but have a global services team that is able to deliver on managed service engagements. They also have strong back office support from accounting, legal, contracts, and sales enablement. They have invested in tools such as Salesforce, Bullhorn, JIRA, and Peoplesoft.

    Cons

There has been a lot of change recently which resulted in heavy turnover. That has caused a disruption especially in certain markets. Some leadership is still old school and don’t embrace a remote office environment. There are several empty offices throughout the country which further hurts moral for those that do report to an office each day. They need to hire more sales and recruiters to grow.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest and show care in your people. Don't mess with commissions and continue to offer internal upward mobility.

I worked at DISYS (More than 5 years)

    Pros

work life balance, decent commission structure for top performers

    Cons

No culture, no vision, terrible back office, Weak management, company only cares about Sales.

    Advice to Management

Problems are top down. promoting people in to leadership roles whom have no experience or training. The vertical alignment has been a total bomb, especially for recruiters since the model promotes reactive approaches

    Pros

Depending on the team and manager there can be room for growth.

    Cons

Benefits can be improved. No flex time. Minimal and unpaid maternity leave. In general, there is no appreciation of employees by way of words or a competitive salary package resulting in a high attrition rate.

    Advice to Management

Scope of improvement regarding the direction in which the company is going. Focus on nurturing and cultivating talent.

I worked at DISYS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great management at the branch/local level. Recruiting for good companies and great training environment for a new recruiter.

    Cons

It's recruiting... If you can do the time and build a network you can make some good money. If you aren't able to speak with people on the phone or pick up the technical lingo it won't last long.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to continually educate employees on recruiting and sales best practices and help them understand the technical aspects of the jobs they are recruiting for.

I worked at DISYS as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

After the first week of my internship I was given significantly more responsibility and was thrilled to not have to deal with typical intern tasks.

    Cons

It was pretty clear that there are not many clear career paths here.

    Advice to Management

Management seemed visibly stressed and this trickles down to employees.
