I have been working at DJO Global as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

They really care about their employees and their customers. They are going through a transformation stage right now because they realized there was room for improvement, so they are making some big changes and trying to learn and grow to be the best they can be. I see great things for this company's future and for the people who choose to tough it out and grow with the company.

    Cons

I still haven't found anything bad about this company. I guess the only con I can think of is that they haven't hired me on as a full-time employee yet (I'm currently a temp).

    Advice to Management

    None.

I have been working at DJO Global full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This used to be a great company with a mission and a purpose. The company cared about its employees and it was a lot of fun. People worked hard and long hours but they were so engaged that they didn't mind it what so ever. Pay was good and there were a lot of perks working here.

    Cons

Blackstone, the owner, really messed up this company. They brought in people that looked good on paper to run this place but these leaders are cookie cutter leaders and just try reruning old strategies that really don't work in this unique industry. The new leaders come from entitled, privileged lifestyles. They are paid ridiculously high salaries and bonuses for the company's size yet they do not do their fair amount of work or take ownership for mistakes. This company treats it employees like second class citizens. Oh and the workers are where you will find all of its diversity. They do not promote women or minorities. Most of the leaders are white males like 99%. The women leaders are all in HR and they just say yes sir to everything asked of them and look pretty.

    Advice to Management

Blacstone needs to find more current, diverse leaders with talent to correct all the wrongs of its past leaders. The Company needs to seriously look at workforce discrimation and start to care about its slaves, I mean workforce.

I worked at DJO Global full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of good hard working people still working here, but fewer by the day. Excellent products, if properly managed moving forward, this company should have a future.

    Cons

With very few exceptions, upper management is completely disconnected from their employees and most are inexperienced in the medical device industry. Non stop turnover creating chaos and most departments are in shambles as the company outsources hundreds of employees to off shore sites.

    Advice to Management

To the dozens of newly hired managers directors and VPs from Dell: if you really want to help save this company, try to get to know your employees at least get to know their names if they work for you. Try to make them feel like they have a future with the company, maybe have a meeting and talk to them.

    Pros

On site cross fit. By and large, people want to help and succeed. Office space and benefits package are satisfactory, not great.

    Cons

Constantly changing priorities and strategy, extensive focus on KPI's with no time to fix them. Extremely high turnover and burnout. Silo'd functional departments. Want to improve, don't know how to get there.

    Advice to Management

Create a longer term strategy and stick to it.

Big company with diversity and grow .

    Cons

Too many family members or same ethnicity hired through relationship not based on skill and integrity . These groups in distribution center bully new comers to the point that either to fail or walk out so they can secure their own position and survive .

    Advice to Management

I think Long term business planning and growth can be accomplished via skill , experience fresh ideas , innovation and integrity among team members !
