I worked at DMEautomotive part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Incentives, lots of prizes for employees, office lunch catered every now and then. Easy job and you can have your homework or a book out while taking calls if it doesn't interfere with your call quality.

    Cons

It's like working in highschool, too much drama and cliques, too many personal ties, everyone sleeps with everyone. They're super strict on their rules and dress code.

    Advice to Management

I think it needs more professionalism and less cliquey.

I worked at DMEautomotive full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent company to work for while under the management of Mike Walthers prior to buy out by Solera Holdings. Fairly transparent with employees on current financial status, etc. Monthly luncheons with company updates and some perks. It seemed like management cared under the old regime.

    Cons

Ever since buyout in 2015 by Solera Holdings / AutoPoint this company has tanked. New policies and procedures are implemented regularly without notification to employees. They do not give reviews or salary increases. Clients leaving due to billing issues and inability to compete with other competitors on pricing and technology. W2's hacked and employees not notified in a timely manner until after numerous employees encountered identity theft of their tax returns.

    Advice to Management

Get over yourself. You profess the "Solera Principles" of 90/10, 80/20 and 30/30 to employees but not one of you actually uses them yourself.

I worked at DMEautomotive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent work environment. You will be left to yourself if you don't connect with the right people. Casual dress.

    Cons

-Insurance was horrible (may be better with AutoPoint)
-Premiums and Deductibles were 4 times other company averages. I paid over $1200 for premiums per month with a 10,000 deductible for family coverage. Outrageous!

There are cliques and promotions based on people being there from the beginning, everyone else was dispensible

-They were trying to operate like a big company but had lots of small-company ways. My VP had been there for many years which is the only reason they were a VP (not because of competency) ... . Totally unequipped and would NEVER cut it at a big corporation.

-Tons of nepotism. People not friendly if you're not a part of cliques

    Pros

If you like sitting, and being on the phones , and ther are some sweet people

    Cons

Poor management, prejudice , favoritism, they are quick to take sides , if a manager wants to see one of ther friends do better they will work on them for management regardless of there attendance and call quality scores. No information is confidential, you get picked on and intimidated if they don't like you. And yes someone who just walked in the door because they like a certain person , that person gets moved up and shown more , to me it's only one manager causing this drama and I believe she is prejudice and needs to be demoted , she is unfair to a lot of people and cut throat behind you back other wise every other manager I know is good.

    Advice to Management

Look into your manager it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who she is , she is unprofessional and needs to be demoted, your information is not confidential she goes back and tells what you have discussed to that other associate, because she is cut throat and wants to make you feel little. Advise is investigate your management , think about management that has had issues with there associates and who the associates were they had issues with , majority in there. Put her under the radar and your company will be ran fairly

    Pros

A decent base salary with pretty good heath benefits. Nice modern office.

    Cons

Horrible direction and leadership. It's too bad the leadership is bad because the do have many good products. You're always on the edge of your seat worrying about if you'll have a job the next day.

    Advice to Management

    Tune in.

I have been working at DMEautomotive full-time

    Pros

One of the only companies in Daytona that pays you okay and your not having to walk around all the time

    Cons

The people there gossip about one another and the bosses don't ever let you advance. It's almost a joke how they let people who have only been there 6 months become almost like your boss because they kiss up

    Advice to Management

When you start valuing your employees is when your employees will start valuing their jobs. Exceptional customer service is only given when the environment is a place of growth and people are shown that they are valued

I worked at DMEautomotive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Competitive pay
    - Company wide rewards for meeting company goals, ie; they handed out an iPad mini for one, gave us a free paid holiday
    - Very swaggy, shirts, packs, etc.
    - Good place to sharpen your SQL and Javascript

    Cons

    - Most expensive benefits I ever had. For family health insurance it was $700+ a paycheck
    - Management is brutal, if you like be cussed at you will love working here
    - Management does not reward hard work and honestly treats people like crappie despite the amount of effort
    - Be ready to work nights and weekends to meet unrealistic deadlines
    - Having thick skin is a must to work here
    - Preaches quality in meetings but demands quantity behind doors

    Advice to Management

Recognize people when they work 100+ hours in a week to save the face of upper management who has made bad decisions.

Find management that doesn't need to tear people down to run the department.

Pay a larger portion of the health insurance.

Expect hiccups and stop demanding unrealistic deadlines.

    Cons

    - Slow advancing
    - Little break time

    Advice to Management

I would advise management to continue to update their employees regularly and always seek to promote at atmosphere of professionalism.
