I worked at DMH-ST. ELIZABETH'S HOSPITAL as an intern (Less than a year)
I loved working here because everyone was so nice and I never felt like I was going to work, more like a great place to be for a couple of hours.
The downside is that once you hit a certain age, you cannot be apart of the internship.
worked with a great team.
work could get a bit slow at times.
Good Benefits, including sick leave and vacation time.
This hospital has a long history of difficulties. Their problems go way back and play out today in a variety of ways. There is a lot of violence and lack of supervision of patients. There are some very nasty staff members that conduct themselves in a very unprofessional manner. If I had to do it all over again, I would never have pursued employment here.
Advice to Management
Create a better atmosphere for both patients and staff. Do not overwork staff and make sure people are getting over time if they work extra hours.
