    Pros

Lot's of experience to gain. They offer great locations. Room to expand resume and move up with in the company

    Cons

Personal life is affected by work due to the some of the remote locations. Lack of resources is also a problem due to being in remote locations

    Advice to Management

Better training is needed and more money invested in employees should provide better results with guest services

    Pros

Free food, beautiful environment to work and live in. Good access to park amenities, skiing ,hiking, swimming, rafting.

    Cons

Doesn't care, fits the company perfectly. They hire poor people from 3rd world countries to work for min. wage. They have made numerous employees attempt suicide.

    Advice to Management

Better turn yourselves in ,you will be caught someday.

I worked at DNC Parks and Resorts at Yosemite full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The park is beautiful. It is a great place if you love the outdoors. Great hiking, camping, fishing and sightseeing. I have no Pros for DNC Parks and Resorts at Yosemite. Well, maybe; DNC losing their contract to serve Yosemite National Park is the best thing that has happened for Yosemite and their guest.

    Cons

Management is corrupt, incompetent, dishonest and immoral; especially the HR department . A culture of bullying, intimidation, harassment and mobbing. This organization has no regard for employee rights, state or federal laws, health and safety. If you do not go along with the statuesque of corruption, incompetence and favoritism you will be targeted, setup and illegally terminated. This organization believes they are above the law. I am 56 yo, a solid work history, an Army Veteran and have never worked with such a despicable company and it's employees.

    Advice to Management

Turn yourselves over to law enforcement for your crimes. This goes for your New York offices all the way to Yosemite California. Your incompetence, corruption, dishonesty and lack of morals lost your a continued contract in Yosemite National park.

I have been working at DNC Parks and Resorts at Yosemite full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I loved working in Yosemite but the concessionaire is not very good in keeping up with their employees.

    Cons

Not offering position back after said employee is released off of medical leave.

    Advice to Management

Get with the program when a employee goes out on workmens compensation and is returned back to work they should follow the rules and offer the position back to the employee out on medical leave.

    Pros

Outdoors in one of the most beautiful parks in the world. Surrounded by constant companionships, you are almost always going to find at least one person who you connect with fully. Peace and tranquility, especially in the Fall and Winter. Opportunity to practice or master a second language and work in a global environment.

    I miss Yosemite every day.

    Cons

The company can have some major internal miscommunications at times. During the summer the park is PACKED with tourists and so at times it is almost like disneyland rather than an escape.

    Advice to Management

Team leadership and spirit building training and exercises for new leaders.

    Pros

Amazing executive leadership at the local level. I love being able to work with smart, capable people. Decent benefits - especially the one where you get to live and work in such an amazing and beautiful place. Excellent community. Great opportunities to move around and gain experience in different areas. Strong focus on personal development and allowing associates to learn and grow. Living and working with the same small community of people is a plus and a minus.

    Cons

Limited housing opportunities makes it difficult to choose where and how you'd like to live.
Living and working with the same small community of people is a plus and a minus.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the focus and support for environmentally responsible programs. GreenPath is a program we can really be proud of. Keep looking for sincere ways to show appreciation and respect for associates.

Not much pay, no room for advancement, living in slum-like conditions in the tents, seasonal environment, lots of drinking etc.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring terrible employees because they have no where else to go, improve middle management, improve housing for good employees

    Pros

great company to work for, beautiful environment to live, work and play in, enjoyed living in the dorm, liked the food options available, loved working with the staff and guests, enjoyed meeting people from all over, lots of great biking and hiking

    Cons

part of a union, so there are union dues, and those who have worked there longer than you can move into your department and bump you out of the hours you had been getting, especially when moving into the slower season.
