I worked at DR Systems, Inc full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It used to be a nice quaint small company with very nice people now they just laid off a whole bunch of people because they were acquired by this horrible company March healthcare!

Very sad and disappointed in the way that everything turned out. Naturally they told everybody don't worry nothing is going to change everything's going to be okay and then the HR dept come in and lay off 25% of the staff from DR SYSTEMS.

Nothing good about this company anymore!

    Cons

I would not recommend going to work for this company anymore it used to be a nice company but not anymore.

If you going to work for this company you'll probably just get laid off and they they do it very mean and cold.

After they lay you off in the office they give you your termination packet your final paycheck and then they make a manager escort you to your desk to pack your belongings, they don't even have enough professional behavior that they think the employees are going to be stealing things before they leave.

Please don't waste your time by excepting an offer over here I foresee that this office in San Diego will eventually be shut down MERGE Healthcare will lay off all the people!

    Advice to Management

The old management was a good management team, pretty fair people; however the new management is really bad I would really advise management from merge healthcare to have a bit more feeling for people and treat them better.

The management team from MERGE healthcare are a bunch of phony people and they don't really care about anyone or anything except themselves!

Advice to MERGE healthcare CEO go get better managers and become a people focused company instead of just thinking about yourself, your profits and your stock.

    VERY BAD MANAGEMENT TEAM!

I have been working at DR Systems, Inc full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company culture was built on helping each other learn & develop a challenging product. There is tremendous support by more experienced people throughout the company. Many opportunities to grow and excel within company.

    Cons

Tends to be a lack of leadership involvement, including limited direction on future plans and overall company goals. However, because there are minimal layers, it's easy to talk to management and be heard. Salaries are lower than market but health care benefits are excellent.

I worked at DR Systems, Inc full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

DR has a laid back atmosphere and nice people to work with, I got time off whenever I asked for it and one-on-ones with the boss were a regular thing.

    Cons

Lower pay than competitive companies and areas. There is a lot of employee turn over which makes it difficult to maintain their complex software.

    Pros

I really like how flexible my hours were during my summer internship and even as a full-time student. Most things seemed relaxed and just about everyone wanted to help out.

    Cons

I felt that there was no concrete direction I am moving in. I was pretty much free to do whatever, but was never given a set task. I was moved around in tasks a lot.

    Advice to Management

I'd say more organized in dealing with projects.
