    Pros

    Cons

-Management including HR doesn't care about their employees. -Unless you like kissing someone's butt there is no room for growth. -Even if you have to leave early or are absent do to medical reasons and bring back documentation you get an occurrence against your attendance. -They give the best schedules to the new hires and they don't care about those who have been with the company for a long time. -They only care...

-Take more time to invest in your tenured agents and maybe you won't lose so many. -Your call center has become chaotic and disorganized. -Stop caring only about money. Take an interest in your employees. -Take some of these calls and get feedback from the customers.

I worked at DS Services of America full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Free coffee, expresso, tea. There are some great people that work there.

      Cons

You will start with an “interview” wherein it seems everyone gets an offer. You start day one with a good impression, but by day 5 dejection sets in. You’re treated like a child, needing escorts to get something from another room. You will be spoken to like a child and the training staffs aspiration and ambition is to make you miserable. Training staff consists of an argyle loving “lady” who can’t even manage to figure...

      Advice to Management

If you want to revamp training start by changing the people running it. They don’t seem to actually know anything about process. I think the newest trainer is a good addition though, at-least she has been a rep, and supervisor. Don’t waste money on a shadowing program. Encourage questions from new hires. They have the best perception of the way your customers feel. Pay a little more and encourage professionals, not former...

I have been working at DS Services of America full-time for more than a year

      Pros

-Good start base pay for a call center in Lakeland -Agents are treated like people, not numbers -HR is always willing to do extra for any request

      Cons

-No grow opportunities -Supervisors and Managers are never there if you have any issue -Quality control is too inconsistent -You start at $11.00 per hour and you’ll stay there forever, unless you get an awesome raise of $0.25 after 3 years! -Management treat you like garbage unless you know someone higher up -God forbid you put a 2 week notice, because they’ll do ANYTHING to just let you go, like if it was personal -Any...

      Advice to Management

Try to understand the difference between “Customer Service” And “Sales” Supervisors only are on their phones even though they have been warned not to. They like to ask people for OT all the time and if you decline, they’ll tag you as a bad agent for the rest of the month, but, when you tell them that you need something, like change your schedule for a day or something like that, they’ll give you as many excuses as possible...

Pretty easy job for decent pay!

      Cons

It’s a bit hard to get your 40 hours because you have to come in on days off. Not everybody works when they’re supposed to be. Not great communication from management to employees.

      Advice to Management

Work on communicating accurate information to employees and ensure all employees receive the same information.
