I have been working at DST Systems full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are some great people to work both for and with. Benefits are fair. Changes are happening that could be very good and bring DST in line with newer technology and financial companies. They are really pushing for younger employees.

    Cons

The belt is always tightening and a lot for f changes are happening quickly and coming down from the top. The company is both aging and turning over faster. Not always good about retaining top talent.

    Advice to Management

Work on changing from the bottom up. Current decisions seem dictated instead of grown and fostered. Keep growing a diverse work force and focus on keeping talent.

I have been working at DST Systems full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Self-insured so very good insurance. I've gotten a merit increase every year. While the merit may not stay with or ahead of inflation, one was given.

    Cons

When I first started at DST, it was THE company to work for and I was excited to get an internship while still in college. The company is no longer THE company to work for but it is the company to get laid off from, it is the company where its employees are HOPING to get laid off so they can get away from the low morale, the lack of appreciation from upper management, the lack of promotions, the degradation/abuse allowed from clients, low performance reviews driven off of requests from upper mgmt to lower ratings across the board versus being rated on your actual performance, budgets in the red yet money is spent on new elevators (for efficiency), statues of prior CEO's, internal software package(s) to evaluate efficiencies that cost millions of dollars that is as buggy as a high school project all while the work increases with less associates who must do their daily work as well as babysitting the work done oversees, which often means doubling the domestic work, expected after hours work including weekends, no work/home balance.

Finally and most important to me, DST tends to be a hostile workplace for women if you are passionate about your work and strive to improve your work environment and your professional self.

    Pros

    Work load ,Compensation and Benefits

    Cons

Everything else. The company culture is terrible. The company does not have a good sense of direction and is losing revenue fast. You will face hurdles for any tiny bit of change towards progress. Mis management on every level.
Also, this company is the absolute worst for immigrants. Stay Away!

I have been working at DST Systems full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

Full of executives who make bad decision by selling products that don't exist and putting people on implementations that don't know what the products can and can't do. Engineers are then asked to work tons of overtime to make up for others poor decisions and promises to the customer that are not achievable in a reasonable amount of them under the mantra of keeping the customer happy.
