I worked at DVL Seigenthaler full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Some good people, many with untapped potential Nice office space/building Minimal overtime required Would sometimes see glimpses of the company it used to be, but those times are way too few and far between

    Cons

Low pay Lack of organization and planning Short-sighted partners/management Upper management incapable of admitting fault and regularly say one thing and do another, or simply never follow through People are regularly pigeonholed and talents and strengths overlooked Very little concern for employees, beyond surface appearances

I worked at DVL Seigenthaler full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Management generally cares and goes out of the way to listen to, support, and provide constructive criticism to every employee. If you work hard and take a proactive approach to your position, you are recognized and are provided opportunities for professional development and advancement.

    Cons

Public relations can be time-consuming. However, that is something you should expect coming into the job, no matter where you work. Public relations can be time-consuming. However, that is something you should expect coming into the job, no matter where you work.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at DVL Seigenthaler for more than 2 years

    Pros

At DVL Seigenthaler colleagues are like family. For young professionals, there is no better place to learn and grow. Mid and Senior level colleagues are almost always available and willing to teach, guide and support team members. Teams are highly supportive of each other, and do not operate with the typical competitive nature of many agencies.

    Cons

The recent merger and acquisition came with the natural tensions and operational hiccups that are to be expected. A little bit of a "cobbler's children have no shoes" issue.

    Advice to Management

Establish and enforce universal expectations and policies.

I have been working at DVL Seigenthaler

    Pros

If you are interested in the PR world and want to learn more, THIS is the place for you. In 9 weeks, I've learned more than I ever did in college. The company values interns and truly wants to see us succeed and grow. We are assigned a mentor who helps us through our projects. Throughout the internship, you will gain experience in many aspects of PR. It will push you out of your comfort zone, but there is always someone...

    Cons

There is some stress with the job - but that isn't specific to the company. PR can be stressful in general (and really, what job isn't stressful sometimes?)

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I worked at DVL Seigenthaler full-time

    Pros

Good work.life balance for most people, great people, good work, fun clients, 34 year established agency, good medical benefits, good place to start a career and learn a lot

    Cons

Compensation is below average, in desperate need of more operational management, account service team has career growth, creative team flattens out, no true leader pulling all creatives together

    Advice to Management

Compensation adjustments need to be made to maintain talent, need a COO, become experts in your field, not a jack of all trades
