    Pros

    Mostly friendly coworkers and good parking.

    Cons

    Unprofessional managers and staff along with ineffective training.

    Advice to Management

    Learn to manage while allowing your staff to manage the day-to-day needs of the business. Also, it requires more than walking around with a bag of candy to connect in an meaningful manner with the employees. Likewise, instructing team leads and other support staff not to talk to team members serves only to erode any working relationship gained.

    Just because the slogan for Newell is Brands that matter. You really need to keep the people that made the brand what it was

    I have been working at DYMO full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good pay for salary employees. Discount of DYMO items are great. Dental and Vision courage good.

    Cons

    Worst organizational structure for a company I have ever seen. The DYMO call center is controlled by Belgium and they have no clue what really happens there. The Belgium HQ staff are the worst micro- managers I have ever seen. Belgium is very hostile to the their support staff and require unrealistic directives that cannot be met.

    Advice to Management

    Stop micro-managing the DYMO call center. The HQ for Newell Rubbermaid is Atlanta. Newell Rubbermaid needs to get Belgium managers out of the picture and have operations ran from Atlanta. The call center lost several great employees because of Belgium and they are going to lose even more in the very near future.

    Opportunity to work with new and interesting educational hardware Most employees are very knowledgeable and friendly, many socialize outside. Ability to work directly with customers Office is in nice location

    Cons

    Salary is not competitive with similar jobs at other companies Bonuses and merit increases tied to Newell Rubbermaid performance (parent company) so even if mimio does well, staff (not true for managers) may not receive their increases. Merit increases are insulting at best and seem to be based more on who you know than the quantity and quality of work you perform Management and Sales has the tendency to make unrealistic...

    Advice to Management

    Morale has sunk to all time low since Newell Rubbermaid aquired mimio. Employees at all levels should be mentored and allowed to work at their appropriate levels. Big company bureaucracy and politics have no place in a highly competitive technology market.
