I worked at DaVita Clinical Research full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fun people who make great friends both in and out of the office
    Flexible schedules
    Laid back management

    Cons

    No defined career development opportunities
No recognition of a job well done when you go above and beyond (there used to be but it had stopped long before I left)
    Laid back management

    Advice to Management

Engage your employees. They should always have enough to do that challenges and helps to develop their skills. A decent bonus structure would help make pay more competitive with larger companies.

I have been working at DaVita Clinical Research full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice, new, state of the art facility in Lakewood, Colorado. Opportunity to move elsewhere within DaVita, for the right person.

    Cons

Just be forewarned....this division of DaVita talks about the "core" values, for which the main company is well known, but this office in Lakewood is NOT that DaVita! The bottom line and metrics are way more important that the people that make them happen, which is why the turnover rate is 50% each year, and employee satisfaction scores are in the low 40's. Run, don't walk from this "opportunity"!

    Advice to Management

Learn how to build and value your people. They can see through the flimsy "team building" efforts. Until you walk the talk you will continue to lose valuable talent!

    Pros

nice people to work with, room to grow within the right department and under the right supervisor, company plans a lot of things for its employees to keep them happy. offers free coffee every morning, work environment is up to date. hours are amazing. i work from 5am to 130pm.

    Cons

depending on your department you might be stuck in your position for a long time, pay is low compared to the amount of information you need to memorize and the amount of work you do. not enough overtime ( in my department at least)

    Advice to Management

Pay your workers what they are really worth. We work just as hard as you. Pay attention to the hard work that we do and don't let it go unnoticed. Take accountability for what you tell your employees, dont change it up because you dont wont to be wrong.
