I have been working at DaVita full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Money is good, patients are great

    Cons

Constantly understaffed. When we hired more staff and actually got to a safe and comfortable staffing level, upper management made us expand clinic hours and take on more patients but wouldn't let us hire more staff. Part time employees are scheduled to work 40 hours every week. You are expected to be fiercely loyal to the company and the CEO due to weird corporate culture. I had 4 different bosses in a year.

    Advice to Management

Consider work life balance. This company expects employees to eat, sleep, live, and breathe Davita, and it's unrealistic. People have families, home lives, and interests outside of work. An hourly employee doesn't need to be taking work calls on their day off, or going to pointless meetings or team building activities.

I have been working at DaVita full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is good. Frequently see the same patients, so you know what’s going on with them.

    Cons

Management isn’t much help most of the time. They only look at numbers, and unless you have really good management, they don’t even know, or care to know who the patients are. Understaffed sometimes. Get a lot of promises that never come to pass by management.

    Advice to Management

Be more involved in the clinic. Stop enforcing unrealistic expectations from staff.

I have been working at DaVita full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Satisfaction and fulfillment is gained from helping people when they need it most. Teamwork at the facility level is awesome.

    Cons

Management seems to disregard the grassroots employees (facility level) and patients. Managements main focus is numbers not peoples best interest, Staff are underpaid and overworked. Caseloads are to high are create room for errors and affect quality of care.

    Advice to Management

Let your staff know they are valued. Reward good job with pay. Have management practice core values.
