I have been working at DaVita full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

New RN skill. Nice patients. Staff such as LCSW and RD helpful. Techs helpful.

    Cons

My shifts are regularly 14 hours. No coverage, no back up. Ratio is always 12 to 1. Unsafe at times. Low low pay for reaponsibities.

    Advice to Management

Work the floor and see how bad it gets.
Higher pay based on regional norms.

    Pros

-flexible employer, diverse, education assistance, team work promoted

    Cons

Multiple layers of management-so stifling to the mission, long history of nepotism, frequently roll out changes without tried and true practices

    Advice to Management

Company is not in anyway "the" DaVita I fell in love with less than 10 years ago. Multiple layers of mid-managers have gone unchecked and it's a terrible place

I worked at DaVita full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Room for advancement, great benefits

    Cons

Very clicky very much depends on who likes you and who doesn't

    Advice to Management

As a former employee, then former patient- not a lot of people like your over the top diversity. Not being able to understand your teammates makes a huge impact on customer satisfaction. Mulitple times supervisors were replaced with advance degreed third world country people or military either with no medical background guess there was reason for so many of us supervisory teammates including the vp left.
