I worked at Daimler full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, job security (they won't fire you unless you're completely useless), promising industry outlook. Management strives to communicate with their employees. Admirable effort to create non hierarchical culture in a very big organization.

    Cons

Work culture has a long, long way to go. The company strives to "embracediversity" but the status quo is still white fuckboy's heaven. Reported harassment issues and only got retaliation. They don't understand how to resolve work conflicts nor embrace people who aren't white males.
Low performing people take decades to be removed because that's the company philosophy. Could be a good thing, but often a source of frustration.
Opportunities may not go to the people who deserve the most.
Like any other organizations, politics is ugly.
Management is pretty closed despite their effort to communicate.
There's an unsaid rule of bringing only the young people up to the management.

    Advice to Management

If you care about work culture, you should have separate HR people to resolve workplace conflicts. Don't say you care about women when you don't have single resources available (please don't tell me WIN is all you got) when situation goes dire. People witness harassment and think that could be wrong but still don't stand up, because DTNA has never told people to do so. If DTNA hires women and POC employee but do not know how to resolve workplace conflicts, you're letting them just treated unequally and neglect such demeanor. Thankfully there are so many other organization that pays me equally well and still stand up for me when I don't get treated well.

I worked at Daimler full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Salary was great and the benefits too.

    Cons

Poor management. Lack of training and management expects you to know how to run entire operation in department. My ex manager really didnt understand the processess in her department, but was quick to attack her employees when things didnt go well through shift. Never supportive, lied and fired me because I wrote a statement on her and she didnt like it. Thank God better opportunities came right on time for me.

    Advice to Management

Need to have your department managers trained better than what they are. Too much dictating from their offices, they need to be more active on the floor in their departments. Employees constantly ask why doesnt management show their faces more in the departments.

Great vacation & company shut down policy. Company shuts down for Christmas week & also shuts down for a week in the summer. Great compensation too.

    Cons

Terrible work- life balance. Not flexible with working from home. Work load is always geared towards putting out fires. Not a proactive environment.
