I have been working at Dairy Queen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Feeling of teamwork, generally cleanly working environment. Not a bad place to work, free lunch shift food.

    Cons

Challenges include fast paced work if you like to work slow. And tight space with not much privacy among Co workers.

I have been working at Dairy Queen part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love interacting with people and serving them with a smile. My coworkers make my job easy by doing as they are supposed to. The customers are what make me love my job.

    Cons

My hours are one thing I can not stand. I want to work during the days but they refuse to schedule me and My managers don't really help out.

    Advice to Management

An advice I would have to give management is that you need to work with your staff and help them do their job. Also the scheduling would be nice to help people out.

I have been working at Dairy Queen full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The management is AMAZING. They are respectful, courteous, polite and are very skilled at their job. I love my managers. I enjoy all my co workers. A few on our day shift love to gossip and it caused problems. Our General manager always takes care of it. She works over 120 hours easy every two weeks and is always on call. She is an amazing woman. The new managers are very nice as well. Mishayla Addler in particular is very professional and kind. She is a LEADER not a BOSS. All of the managers are awesome though and all are LEADERS. We are like a family there.

    Cons

Day shift cook doesn't train kitchen workers well. At all. I walk into a mess unless the GM has been in the kitchen. He leaves all his waste and dishes for me. 2 people in particular constantly complain. One spreads my personal life around and it's not cool but I deal with it.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the amazing work. You ALL are freaking awesome and you are doing great.

I have been working at Dairy Queen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun company to work for, with good benifits. Menu was always changing, bringing new and exciting items to order for customers. Ice cream makes people smile which is also rewarding in the work place.

    Cons

Pays management much lower than other fast food chains. I had very little training when getting into management. Ice cream machines are very expensive to fix or replace and caused my store to have to stop selling ice cream on multiple ocasiaons and Dairy Queen is not helpful with getting new machines.

    Advice to Management

Add more training all around the board, we have a very detailed menu with a lot to learn for new hires. A quick online tutorial would be very help full for management and new hiresz
