I worked at Dairy Queen part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    50% discount on all food.

    Cons

If management don't like you, they will try to push you out and force you to quit by decreasing hours.

    Advice to Management

Instead of decreasing hours, just fire the person. Management don't forget you are management and you can not act like crew members. Make sure you give instructions directly to the person instead of telling another crew member to tell them.

I worked at Dairy Queen part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked at two different locations and the best part was the flexible schedule for students.

    Cons

The biggest reason I left was the pay. Don't expect a raise or a very high starting pay because it is entry level and for students. However, even with increases in employee responsibility their was only minimal increases in pay.

    Advice to Management

Don't complain about the little things because it is a sucky job and you will lose good help fast.

    Pros

You learn to deal with good and bad peers, which is valuable experience. If you are underweight, this is a great opportunity to get free food and bulk up. If you're in your late teens, this will providence you with motivation to someday leave the fast food industry.

    Cons

Low pay, furious customers, melted soft serve during busy times.

    Pros

Get discounts on food and free cake for your birthday

    Cons

They change/adjust your hours for payroll, they cut your hours for no reasons, they don't properly train you and disrespect you in front of the whole crew and customers.

    Advice to Management

They need to go back to school and study the proper classes on how to run a successful business. They need to separate their personal and business life.
