"Daisybrand is a nice place to work, but don't count on much promotion."

    I worked at Daisy Brand

    Pros

Daisybrand is a laid back atmosphere, and therefore management does not expect a lot of "thinking" work from its employees. (If you call this a pro). CEO will spend time in a daisybrand101 course to explain the company, but seems more like a dog and pony show.

    Cons

Pay is rather low, and department management often times do not communicate causing employee to receive mixed signals. Wearing ties to work is a good enough reason to stay away from this archaic company.

    Advice to Management

Get with the times, wearing ties to work is unbelievably outdated, and embarrassing, and is a symbol of your slow-moving attitude in the marketplace.

I have been working at Daisy Brand full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Easy job, lines automated so you just have to keep plugging in cups, lids or boxes and watch the machines work.

    Cons

Many of us took pay cuts to come to work here with the promise of a great culture and that pay would catch up, but the management is not trustworthy and the pay increases don't happen. Upper management used to care about employees, but not anymore. It's just a job. 4 weeks' PTO sounds great, but with only a few paid holidays, you really come out even at best. It's just a job. No great culture, pay or benefits.

    Advice to Management

First stop lying then stop making promises that you know you aren't going to keep. Then stop taking credit for others work and accomplishments.

I worked at Daisy Brand full-time for less than a year

    Pros

PTO 4 weeks, but don't use it in the beginning of the year.

    Cons

Leadership sucks so if you're looking for a job that you can skate bye without doing anything , this job is for you. Professional development is none existent, do not be sold during the recruiting process about how you can move up in the company. Your professional growth will be none existent for sometime. Packaging Management, has to be the biggest hypocrites around. One will schedule a meeting for 530 and come into...

I worked at Daisy Brand full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Relatively competitive pay - Good benefits. 4 weeks of PTO right at the start for all employees, good insurance - Majority of people in the company are great, hardworking talented people - Stable, seeing great growth numbers

    Cons

    - Work life balance is poor. Uneven workload; more work is given to those that get more done while others skate by not doing much. - Very little room for true advancement. Shuffled around a lot laterally, but within a small company there is not a lot of room for upward mobility. - Poor decisions are consistently made are corporate that put a significant stress/strain on the plants. Decisions are often made without...

I have been working at Daisy Brand

    Pros

I wish I had something good to say.. They do have a great product ; however, they are very picky of who they hire, so it has to be the perfect place to work with exceptional pay and benefits.. Unfortunately not too many people are good enough for them no matter how much experience one has!

    Cons

There are 6 interviews from the bottom to the top of the management chain. The hiring process is long and drawn out and can take months between interviews. Also, they are too cowardly to speak to you over the phone that you are not worthy of their company. They send you a letter!

    Advice to Management

Stop being snobs! There are a lot of hard working intelligent people out there who deserve an opportunity to work for Daisy.

I worked at Daisy Brand full-time

    Pros

Leader of the sour cream industry.

    Cons

There is no communication of objectives, goals or results. Major disconnect between leadership and plant in all aspects. Disappointing company culture with no regard for a work/life balance. Very large ego's in upper management and leadership.

    Advice to Management

Encourage input and involvement from employees...they also have ideas. Plant manager communications or general business updates. Need more involvement and appearance of HR within the plant. Spark motivation and offer people incentives, the culture is in despair.

I worked at Daisy Brand full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Job security and good benefits. Decent pay.

    Cons

This company couldn't care less about individuals, managers are only out to make themselves look good, forced to work on holidays, long hours, inconsistent schedules and work distribution is completely skewed. There is no opportunity for advancement in this company and be ready to have a horrible schedule for 5+ years before ever being presented with day shift.

    Advice to Management

Take responsibility once in awhile and listen to your workers, too many talented people come in and out for such a small company.

I worked at Daisy Brand full-time

    Pros

Great benefits - PTO, medical/dental, etc.

    Cons

Very much a "good ole boy" system - friends and family will go far within the company. There is no true HR program - no performance objectives, no performance reviews, no coaching/mentoring...when it comes time to let you go, it's not tied to non-performance. Ownership/management cares little about the employees. They talk a lot about culture, but it's likely because they wish they had one (or they are trying to convince...

I worked at Daisy Brand full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Great benefits 4 weeks vacation

    Cons

Management doesn’t follow through with what they say Management likes to blame people when the original problem is their fault. Scheduling is horrible they promote based on friendships instead of merit or time in. They say they are fair and treat everyone equal that is not the case.

    Advice to Management

Learn to be leaders instead of just managers
