I worked at Danaher full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The caliber of people you work with and the DBS Danaher Business System training you receive is incredible, very decentralized and entrepreneurial. Danaher is very good at allowing cross business career opportunities for high achievers.

    Cons

The company is demanding from a time standpoint some positions would be tough on a young professional beginning a family.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on what has made Danaher successful

I have been working at Danaher full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Unbelievable opportunities, good career advancement and mentoring, management is supportive of all changes, great lean culture, DBS is a powerful tool, puts people in positions just before they are ready to encourage growth/development

    Cons

The workload can be overwhelming if you do not have good time management skills

I have been working at Danaher full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The benefits are good; on par with the offerings prior to Danaher acquisition.
    Fast paced environment.
    Never a dull moment.

    Cons

Priorities tend to shift too quickly. Policy deployment initiatives are too short lived.

    Advice to Management

If PD initiatives are important and not the hot spot of the day then follow through with them until they are complete; don't drop them the next quarter.

    Cons

Wil be interesting with Larry Culp stepping down

    Pros

Competitive environment with strong leadership and opportunities to grow. Better than average benefits, and a total compensation package that is aided by extremely strong stock performance.

    Cons

Many things are decentralized and sometimes lean is taken too far, but hard to argue with results.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to keep a laser focus on results and growing the business through strategic acquisitions, but also not lose sight of the most important resource in Danaher, it's people.

I have been working at Danaher full-time

    Pros

Challenging daily work environment, talented management, high expectations. If you are willing to work hard, ask questions, and show you are committed, it is a great place to begin your career or grow your career. Also many locations around the country and world

    Cons

Business moves very quickly which can be frustrating for some. Acquisitions of other companies are frequent and can cause confusion about how company will be integrated into the existing Danaher operating company

    Advice to Management

communicate more on where we are going with products and direction in the marketplace, how we are going to continue winning

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Danaher full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to grow and advance if you are willing to put in the work and commit.

    Cons

Some company initiatives seem to conflict with the greater good, they tend to focus to much on data and analytics instead of looking at things from other perspectives.

    Advice to Management

Visibility and communication seem to be key areas where the company could improve as a whole.

I have been working at Danaher full-time

    Pros

After nearly a decade at this company, and having been in the workplace generally for over 25 years at several Fortune 500 companies, I can say that this is one of the best run, most well managed companies I have ever worked for. Smart, aggressive, talented. All of these traits apply equally throughout. I feel like I work with the best and brightest.

    Cons

Not many. Some people complain that the hours are long and the company expects weekend and after hours work. I agree that is the case, but the compensation and the autonomy granted by the company to enable an employee to succeed more than makes up for that.

    Advice to Management

Keep making the right decisions and continue to be the bargain hunters of M&A. It's paid off nicely over the years,
