    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Daniel Island Company part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Organization is run well, very small company however, pay is pretty good considering what job it was

    Cons

It's not the company's fault but this is easily the most boring activity one can possibly spend their time doing

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Daniel Island Company part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun atmosphere at the DIC pool and club. Great food, and golf for employees.

    Cons

Poor lower level management. Most lower level managers are not qualified for management. If you are a lower level employee at the DIC (lifeguard, grounds keeper, server, janitor, etc.), your work at the DIC will be taken for granted, and they do not have much regard for the wellbeing of the employees.

    Advice to Management

Show at least a little bit of care and appreciation to your employees.

    Pros

Good end of the year bonus, good pay

    Cons

The management level is slack, no raises, horrible communication

  4. "Incompetent management"

    Pros

There isn't a better product to sell- the lifestyle speaks for itself.

    Cons

Incompetent leaders are kept in their positions; layoffs happen due to the economy, but these only occur at a low-mid management level. Leadership staff is highly dysfunctional and not as talented as one would expect. Smoke in mirrors!

    Advice to Management

    Hire effective management!
