I worked at Danone full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Personal time off benefits are great- if people can respect it
health benefits and associated costs- on par
    opportunities to rotate roles
speed to adapt to market changes
open work environment - no individual offices works well for collaboration
your colleagues kick butt, work hard and most are very intelligent and nice people

    Cons

zero work/life balance- long work hours, weekends, while on PTO because "every single thing is a fire drill even if non business critical

its all about who "likes" you and being in the "in crowd"- some people are promoted and rotated into roles every year or sometimes with 9 months with no wins and no results on the business they managed. These newly minted "senior manager and directors" have zero people management skills , no professional etiquette and barely /no experience yet a leading teams of highly skilled professionals.

the integration has been a disaster- no additional support for existing functions , yet responsible for getting everything done with no end in sight

business strategy changes weekly - run like a bodega

    Advice to Management

Take a breath- set the strategy for a quarter at a time at least and let it run.

Put customers first and drill that mindset into all stages of business planning- don't ever forget that if they are not our partners we won't get anywhere.

Don't bully your sales organization. Every business goes through different stages of success. You need to appreciate people even more in the more difficult times

Give kudos to teams that are literally loosing sleep and family time working their butts off because they want to see the organization succeed.

Promote based on merit and not on your clique of followers

    I worked at Danone full-time

    Pros

Great PTO, Generous salary, inspired mission statement

    Cons

Lacking employee support from HR partner. HR did not provide training for new roll. HR used the merger to fire older employees to hire under 35 yrs old. Very cutthroat and political in open office. Too many cliques. Bullying by manager and HR.

    Advice to Management

Allow all employees a voice not just high potential millennials. There is value in experience and reliability.
